Football Wedding

I am getting married this saturday and we are having a football themed wedding. I am a huge Colts fan and my hubby to be is a huge Cowboys fan. So we decided to have fun with our wedding. We are getting married in a friends backyard under a goal post with a scoreboard in the background. We had mini footballs printed with our names and wedding date for everyone to take home. My bridesmaids are wearing white Colts jerseys and the Groomsmen are wearing blue Cowboys jerseys. My daughter is the flowergirl but instead of throwing flowers she will be throwing little yellow penalty flags. LOL and our guests will sign signature footballs in place of a guest book. The reception will be tailgating foods and the invitations ask all guests to wear their football clothing and support their favorite team.

OMG That's the coolest idea ever! I'm a huge football fan and cannot wait to see your pictures!!!!! I think it's so fun that you are each wearing your favorite team! And the penalty markers instead of flowers (what a GREAT idea) Please post lots of pics for us!!!!

I will post lots of pics. My friends have come up with some of the cutest ideas. We are caulking the grass like a field and the Justice of the Peace is going to perform the ceramony in a ref shirt. We used footballs cut in half and stuffed for flower vases and I'm going to throw a decorated football instead of my bonquet. We have pompoms and balloons in the team colors and the guest seating is by the team they wear. LOL
