I would want My "Winnings" to go to a Cats Home in the US somewhere. A cheque made out in US funds would be pretty useless in the UK. :rofl:

I don't know, I guess some places can deal with the conversion and some can't. But since OneWed is based in the US that is the only option; which was why I put the notice in the contest details.

I live in Greece, its a little different from England with banks and everything.
Well I was able to cash the cheque, I went to a national bank , no big deal. Of course a big part of the money was kept by the bank as a fee, well.

By the way mitch I voted for your story! I dont want the kitties dead LOL!!!!

I want to say, Nicholas and I have been through a little rouch spot. Nothing bad. Just life changing and I was not ready for it. I wanted back the newness and how it was in the beginning. I know wishing for a perfect life is not going to work. But I was down in the dumps for a while. In a slump, trying to tell Nicholas how I was feeling and he just was not getting it. Not until I e-mailed him this story and told him it won me a contest. He was gone doing stuff last night for about 3 hours. We had a little argument before he left and I didn't even want to kiss him good bye. That is not me. I always kiss him bye. Well when he got home he told me that he missed me, he wants his wife and he is sorry if things had changed so much. It seemed more like we were room mates not husband and wife. He said enough is enough. I don't care what it takes. The kids take up alot of our time but I will make sure we have alone time. I want to be that guy that moved up here to be with you. I was in tears and felt better almost right away. I will be fine. I mean life changes so fast and I just can't keep up with it. I need to slow down and focus on him and I. We both do. I am so lucky to have him. I love him and would never think of ever leaving him for any reason. But he lost me once and from the moment he got me back he has been determined not to lose me again. This story woke him up and made him realize what I was trying to say to him for the past few weeks. The $25 is great but the out come here at home is so so much better. Thanks for voting for my story. There is a reason for every thing I beleive and I beleive this was the reason for this contest for me. Thank you all.

It did. I know for us, it just proved that we need to take a step back out of life for a second (with all the millions of things and stresses going on!) and travel down memory lane to remember why we fell in love with each other.

It was the same for us. We have 3 kids so life is always very crazy. With no family around us it is just us and the kids. Soccer, band, chorus, scouts, the baby ( no need to say more there lol ). Life has taken over and then you add the stress of money on top of it all. I needed to be taken back as well. Relive why we are married and going though all this stress together. And thank you for comenting, talking to some one who is going through the same thing is really nice. I try to talk to my friend but she just doesn't get it neither did my mom.

I got my check the other day! Whoo hoo! I actually put it towards scrapbooking supplies. I wanted to put an engagement coffee table book together and had to buy the book, pages, etc. I can't wait to put it together! :grinhappy:

I got my check yesterday also. I had to sue mine for real stuff like milk and bread. Could not have come at a better time. DH is starting his second job next week and was just told his job he has now is going back to 40 hours. So yes he will be working ALOT but we will get back on track also.
