okay, so i looked into renting carpeted aisle runners and the price was a little obnoxious. i love them, but then again, 150.00 for the runner seemed steep (dad didnt think so but maybe he knows something i dont know) I have thought about doing the thing myself. The reason is that i work in a sign company, they do screen printing and i could have my monogram put on there for free :) One of the guys would be happy to help me out by doing it but i would need the aisle runner first. I have seen the "fabric" ones at joanns and stuff but the problem is, they are almost translucent and where im getting married is a "patio" and its got orange TILE and it will show through and also probably slip. Do you think it would be beneficial to go to a carpet store and get a long remnant maybe of carpet or what other fabric could i use? I dont want it to bunch and i dont want it to slip- im assuming it will be taped anyways but i dont want you to see the horrid orange tile underneath.

any suggestions??

Im not sure about what fabric or carpet to use. But I thought these could help if you used some kind of fabric. They are non slip grips that you could put along the edge of the runner. It would take a lot but if you searched Im sure you could find some cheap. I just did a quick google search for "rug grips"

Just an idea hope it helps:D

Target also has fabric aisle runners. I'm pretty sure they're made out of rayon material.

So i found a WONDERFUL place in town that my dad has been using for years for my aisle runner. its carpet and everything... its only 52.00 - im pretty sure i would spend that when all is said and done between things like fabric, getting somebody to finish the edges and the paint or screen printing... Its worth the renting it at 52.00 :)

Thanks anyways guys
