I don't want another puppy, and I am generally allergic to cats, but they are all cute :grinhappy:

I was looking through our pictures today and found these of my Roxy when she was a pup ...

http://www.4theloveofsighthounds.com/misc/roxy_pup.jpg

I wish I had puppy pics of my Enzo, but he was full grown when we got him :(

So share pics of your fur-babies when they were little so we can all swoon over them

In the last pic he's almost at the very top of the closet. He use to climb up the clothes to get up there...it was cute at first, but the holes in the clothes from his claws weren't so cute!

Awwww, they're all so cute! I want Milo!! When we are finally finally able to get cats, I'm about 95% sure I will find a way to get an orange one... unless I fall for another one I see, which I guess is pretty possible 'cause they're all cute.

I have pictures somewhere of my favorite cat we had when I was growing up, he's now about 8..? He was a little fluffball oranage and white kitten, and now he's a huge orange and white short haired cat, appropriately named Pumpkin. Otherwise we didn't get many pictures of our cats as kittens.

So looking at the pictures not a lot has changed in a month. He will only get a few pounds more anyways, the biggest change will be in his coloring, the black will turn a grayish silver/blue.

They are in Manitoba, which is good for us! Our wedding is back home in Ontario (and the breeders are about 5hrs away, which is fine, we can stay in Winnipeg, woot!) so before we leave, we're going to pick up our puppy (Charlie, I've had his name picked out for a year!) and bring him home to BC :)

These breeders breed their dogs for hunting, which is what we wanted since FH hunts.
Beth, where abouts are you? I have oodles of links to breeders, I can send them to you. Most of them are from Southern Ontario.

One of my last beagles was from a hunter :) My brother hunts and so I took a pup from him.

Even though my dog never did go hunting, she seemed to get super excited when we got all the dogs together for a run in the back woods. LOL

We are in Quebec so Ontario isn't out of the question. I will also check the shelters in Ontario. Sadly beagles are "common place" in rural areas and so many seem to end up in shelters too.

Does that mean you are looking for a breeder as well?! :)

We aren't actively looking for anything until we move in but it's always good to be prepared right?

These are pics of my dog Ginger. She's a Lhasa Apso. I had to put her to sleep in 2005. I am still not over losing her, she was a great dog. My FH and I plan on getting two dogs some time down the road. He wants a Beagle and I want a Maltese. I have allergies and since Beagles shed, FH won't be able to get his beagle, but I gave him a web site of recommended dogs for allergy sufferers. We also plan on getting pet insurance. Is there any reputable ones out there?

I understand what you mean by you're still not over losing her. I lost one of my dog's a few years back and it's still hard. Maltese don't shed and are really good for allergy sufferers...

Yes and they are sooo adorable as well. I still have the collar that my dog Ginger wore. I took it off the night before to bathe her because she couldn't control her bowels. I forgot to put it back on when I took her to the vet and well it's a part of her that I can't bear to get rid of. My brother couldn't understand why I was so upset, stating that she's just a dog but to me she was so much more than just a dog :sob:

They are expensive, but I think she's the best! They all seem to have the same attitudes. They love human contact, they like to play a lot, I could go on and on. If you want to look at some videos of them to get an idea of their personalities and brains, check out youtube, and search for maltese.
I still have Debo's collar, too. I fell your pain sweetie...and I'm so sorry you have to go through this...:sob: Be strong sweetie! And if you need to talk/write, you're more than welcome to talk/write with me! I'm here for you, girlie!

Pets are part of the family too! I hate it when people say "its just a dog, get over it" :irked: My FH still has the tissues he cried into when his first dog died. Another one of the family puppies had to be put down last christmas, and they have her ashes in an urn in the living room.
They live for years with the family and you raise them from when they are young, so they are family members too. Different from other members for sure, but still a big part of the unit. I'm sorry about your puppy, it's always so sad! FH and I are hoping to get 2 puppies in the next year or so too, because we aren't allowed where we are atm.
