In case you have been living under a rock, I will tell you I have been through a lot of stress lately. Ask around, I don't care to rehash it here. So last night Sean and his sister decided that the three of us were going to go out and party like rock stars. It was a good idea in theory. Except, I think rock stars have a way higher tolerance for partying since they do it way more often that an investment consultant and two teachers.

Anyway, we deicded to hit the hip new tapas place in our neighborhood. We all love tapas and they have great sangria (mistake number one). In the course of four hours we sat at the table and munched on little Spanish infused bite sized dishes while the three of us downed 4 pitchers of red wine sangria and then a bottle of regular red wine (mistake number two). Then we decide to get dessert. Well, you can't have dessert over coffee. And what fun is just coffee with cream and sugar so we all have to have our liquor of choise to top off our coffee. (mistake number three). Liquors are very sugary sweet and they brough us out huge snifters full of them. Way more than needed for our coffee. So, after the coffee was down, we had to finish off the Baileys, Frangelica, and Kahluha. (mistake number four). Some things aren't ment to be done as shots from a brandy snifter. THen after four hours of this we hit a couple more bars on the walk back home. The drinks at this time became a blur (mistake number five) - you never want to mix. I do believe it got to the point that we were debating going to one of the hookah bars in the neighborhood but somehow mercifully one of us realized that would be a really bad idea since none of us smoke. This decision mercifully derailed mistake number six.

So here I am, mild mannered little Lacey. Sean is still in bed. My stomach is in knots. I am exhausted. And the only thing I want to do is brush my teeth and start the day. But, I am smart enough to know that I have to wait until my stomach calms down BEFORE introducing minty toothpaste to the mix. I'm too old and out of shape for this. But, I have decided that I had a blast. In my next life, I am so coming back as a rock star so that I can do it EVERY night. Hopefully then my tolerance will go up and I will be able to brush my teeth in a timely manner.

YAY Lacey! I know you needed that. Jason and I did the same thing last weekend...sort of. We went to his sister's for a bonfire and got a little tipsy (I don't tend to drink much, although he polished off his six pack...which I have never seen before). We played some basketball and sat and talked for awhile (and, of course, made fun of Jason's very hammered brother-in-law and the neighbor who had joined us from next door just as hammered and then some).

Glad to hear you had fun. I know how the toothpaste thing must feel...hopefully your stomach has calmed down enough now. :)

I know where your coming from too Lacey. I dont drink often and whe ni do it isnt much. Unlike my family who drinks all the time. I went home for new years a couple of years ago. We celabrated the next night for a few reasons but I go so drunk i actualy passed out while on the phone with Nicholas. I got sick and could barely walk. I have not been that drunk in a long long while and never again since that. But I needed it that night with all that was going on in my life. Then I had to get up by 8 am and drive to a family thing on my dads side. Let me tell ya that was not fun. But hey glad you had a good time and it doesnt hurt to just get a little crazy once in a while.

Sometimes its best to just let loose!! I felt the same way after my 21st birthday. (Though for me my legal birthday for drinking was 18. I didn't get a real party until I hit 21!) I was so hungover I spent 3 days sleeping on the floor because I couldn't get myself off the floor and into my bed!! I was a pathetic sort and now, just one drink would leave me that way for three days! I haven't had a drink in nine whole months! lol.

So anywho, enough about me, lol. HOPE you are feeling better very soon and can take that next step towards brushing your teeth! You sound like my DH after his Bachelor party! lol. Drink plenty of water and if all else fails, head back to bed!!! Feel better soon Lacey!! :)

Wow Lacey! Sounds like you had a good time. Sorry you're not feeling so peachy today. Mark and i are debating have a drinking night on the May 2-4 weekend. He's been working so much and i've been so busy finishing school, with the wedding, and trying to find a job. We need a break and to let loose.

This past new years we went to a party at his sisters and i think he had half a dozen beers and a good part of a magnum of champaign.... he was feeling pretty sorry the next morning. I had 4 or 5 screwdrivers and 2 Woodies... thankfully i never get sick from drinking so it wasn't too bad. But it was a blast.

Everyone needs to let loose sometimes. Hangover and all it still sounds as if you had a great time. It never hurts to do this. We all need it. We have been threatening for sometime now to just let our hair down and have some fun. Gosh if we felt better we would. haha.

OMG, Lacey! That was the best story, EVER!! You tell stories so perfectly, you should be a writer...!

I remember one time my mom, Jason and I decided to do the low carb diet so basically we had no carbs for about 2 weeks and Jason and I decided to go out and have some drinks another one of those, in theory it sounds like a good idea. Well let me tell you, when you have basically no carbs in your system and you introduce large quantities of beer...DON'T DO IT! I was in the bathroom for the whole day afterwards...!

LOL Lacey! Al least you had a good time. Joe and I went out last week with some friends form work just to get out. Well, I guess I started to realize that I no longer enjoy the bar scene. We used to go bar hopping two or three times a week. Now, it seems loud and the drunk chicks seem more stupid. A few beers and a back yard BBQ are more my thing........I guess I'm getting older:bbeek:
