Today is J's birthday, and I realized I haven't shopped for him. I am such a guy!! haha. I have no idea what to get him, and he really isn't one to 'want' things all that much. I can't afford much, and I have NO CLUE what to get him. Pathetic, isn't it???

Write him a letter on real pretty paper. Tell him how much you love him, how much he means to you and how you cant wait to be his wife. Give him that and a single rose.
Its cheap and means more than ANYTHING you could have spent a lot of money on.
Believe it or not, guys really do like that sort of thing!!!!

That is a really good idea Cindy. J is acutally a very sentimental person, and he will probubly like that alot.

Glad I could help. Brian is very sentimental too and LOVES stuff like that. I love doing really mushy things like that but have never had anyone I really WANTED to do them for!

Cindy's idea is great! i was going to say burn a cd with special songs that remind you of him and the two of you and then write a poem and decorate the cd jacket, list the songs, wrap it and voila! Thats what I've been known to do in the past! Did that for Valentine's day last year, added all the music we would be using for the wedding and we were good to go! Now when we listen to the Cd, we just look at each other and smile or I cry! lol. I'm a emotional lunatic!! Ha ha! Good luck!!

You could make a coupon booklet. I made one for mark for our last anniversary because i was really broke. I put little stipulations as well. There was a coupon for me to take him to Walk the Line and one to go to The Manderine for dinner. But the stipulation was it couldn;t be on the same day cause i was broke. lol. Then coupons for other things he'd enjoy. ;)
He loved it. He got a real kick out of it all.

I did the coupon booklet, and HE LOVED IT!!! It had free backrubs, free dinners, movies, drinks, and a few "free-b's" of his choice. I put 'terms and conditions' on each one!!!
He said that he loves things like that much better than store bought items.
Thanks for the help ladies!!!
