OK everyone, tell us your best story for a chance at cash and a place on the upcoming new "Real Stories" feature on OneWed.com!

Submit your story here in this thread (http://forums.onewed.com/showthread.php?p=328904)to enter the contest ... How you met stories, Proposal stories or any other funny, inspirational, or romantic story related to your relationship, your engagement and/or your wedding!

Entries will be taken now till Friday the 26th. Then we will vote on the best two; the author of these top two will each win $25! *Cash in the form of a check mailed to you in US funds*

Any regular member can enter; only one story entry per member though. Keep your story fairly short, no one wants to read an essay ;) And of course the story you submit should be an original true story about you.

We are looking forward to reading everyone's stories :D

Haha. Even our "short" story is still an essay. I may give it a shot, though. Cool contest!

Well if the story is good and keeps the reader interested then a sort of long story is not too bad ;)

I guess we could say lets try to keep it no more than one "page".

can it be just a general story of our enaggement ? esp if something odd happened during our actual proposal

If we get enough entries we will have an open vote to narrow it down to finalists then we will take it from there.

Oh I have some stories. I will have to give this a try. I am not much of a writer but I can stleast try.

I love the Chicken Soup the the Soul books. I have read so many of them.

Hmm... feel free to dismiss my idea, but maybe we should start a new thread for ONLY submissions. I think it would easier for people to read/vote if all the stories are in one thread, away from chatter. :)

That's exactly what i was going to suggest.

Makes sense to just have the submissions and no other "chat" in with them.

I found it hard to look through when i first came across the thread of all the OW Brides. There's a lot of "Ooh that looks great" among the pictures. Instead of complete piccies.

I just put one up a while ago, and I was thinking about it and realized I had a date wrong. It's probably not a huge deal, but I meant to put summer of 2006 instead of 2007 with the paragraph about the worst memory. Not sure if that's changeable but thought I'd try.

I had so much fun typing my story and told the FH about the contest too. Of course I told him that I put in the part of him blocking me on Paltalk and he moaned and said, you won't ever let me live this down huh? I'm like no, because you did it lol He takes it in good stride tho, but I enjoy busting his chops over it :rofl:

I just finished reading the stories psoted. They are all good in their own way. I don't know how any one is supposed to choose a winner lol. Good luck to all you ladies.

Woah i just entered Mine but i cheated and typed it up in Word first. Then when i copied and pasted it, the words went a bit big. I tried changing the font before "Time Out To Edit" and it wouldn't let Me.

I was able to edit a few of my spelling mistakes... but i'm sure there maybe more.. so if there is...I'm sorry. lol This was fun though..really made me realize the heart of why i love my man...:grinhappy:

I also "cheated" and put it in the my Gmail first so that I could spell check it. I don't have Word on this computer, so that was my second best option.

I posted mine last night... I'm going to have to take an hour out and read em all sometime soon!! I'm looking forward to it!

It was hard keeping mine brief - so I just put how we met and not the engagement story.

I know what you mean about trying to keep it brief... except mine may have actually ended up a bit too long. It's hard to condense everything.

Looks like 'rainbowtreat' has the most at 3, so Congrats to Gwen, she will be one of our winners!

We have quite a tie for the other winner with several others, so I guess we need to make another poll
