I thnk I'm gonna be sick!

Okay, I haven't posted anything til now bc I didn't want to jinx myself. but I'm getting a new car! Fh and I went Tuesday and looked at a 2007 Toyota Matrix, cute little four door hatchback that gets outrageous gas mileage!
Well his sis, my FSIL works for this particular dealership and wsa able to find out that the dealership only has $14000 in the car. So we went looked, let them do their speal and then told them I wasn't gonna pay any more than $300 amth or I couldn't deal. And that I wanted the life of the loan not to exceed 60 mths (meaning in order to keep my payments and life thereof in that brackett they were gonna have to sell the car almost $3000 under asking price) well after 3 days of waiting and several phone calls from the dealer, and to my lender.....Weve reached a deal;
drum roll!
life of the loan- 60mths; mthly payments-$297.44; interest rate- 4.9%! The dealers intrest rate was around 7.5 % so that alone will cut me a little slack.
All and all I'm a happy camper! Now I just have to sell the vehicle I'm driving now so I can pay off what I still owe on it:bbeek: Wish me luck on that one.....but in the mean time..........IM GETTIN A NEW CAR!

The automatic, I'm ashamed to say I don't know how to drive a standard:bbredface: fh tried to teach me once but I was so nervous I begged he put it off...(of course we've never gotten back around to it). So an automatic it will be.
I'm so excited just nervous b/c as I said I still owe on my truck but the only deal they would work out with me i was kinda getting screwed if they paid it off for me. Fh was telling me one of his work friends said he might be interested in it so jsut keep me in ya'lls prayers:)

Whoohoo! Congrats on the new car!

I just bought myself a 07' Ford Fusion back in May... it's my first "real" car! And I got it $5,000 less than blue book value. Don't you love great deal? ;)

I always give dealers hard time when I go to buy a car. I had a 2000 dodge durango, but it was such ****! It gave me so many problems, so I went to trade it in at Nissan for a 2008 altima. I went in at 6pm left @1am. You gotta negotiate. They took my trade, of course i had negative equity cuz the durango was used, but it was still a good deal considering gas, and insurance payments and all. My payment lingers around $400 with gap insurance, i get about 30 miles a gallon, it's great.....

Just an update! I got to the dealership around 530 friday and walked out the door to my new car around 600! I got my 4.9% intrest rate, & my payment at $289./mth!

Its a white 2007 Toyota Matrix so cute! and it has a hatchback!
I went to the grocery store this weekend and it was SO nice to open the back and put the bags in, instead of trying to fit them behind the seat or in the floor around the passengers feet in my single cab truck!

I really think I'm gonna love this car.

Congrats! I had American cars before we bought my 08 Corolla S. I LOVE MY TOYOTA! FH family is a huge Ford family and they make fun of me, but I love the quality, the ride, the comfortablity (is that a word?!) just everything! I wanted a white one, but all they had was silver! I'm jealous! :D

Well we're in love-bug season right now so white is not a good color choice:grinhappy:
But its so nice! I'm looking forward to how much I'm gonna save in gas! I drive 40 miles round trip to work everyday so that in itself will make it worth the new note! Right now I still have my truck, its just settin' up in the yard at home. I need to sell it, so I don't have to pay two notes next mth. But Iwas surprised b/c when I called my insurance company I told them I wanted to keep full coverage on both the truck & the new car(in case some idiot drives off the road I want my truck to be covered) and for bth vehicles it is only gonna be $117.00 a mth!
