just needed to vent for a minute, or quite possibly two!! :censored: the pastor just called to tell me the cd i had burned of the music we wanted played at the wedding will not play on the sound system there. it won't even play on her personal computer. now i have to find all the cd's i used and the music accompanist will have to place them in the player one at a time. i would go ahead and just go buy a cd, but now i have all the programs made out with the music listed on them. that alone was an all day job!! plus believe it or not so was the darn cd burning. a justice of the peace is starting to look very good right now!!! :bbmad: i wish their was someone i could just turn this over to and be done with it. i never in my wildest dreams thought this wedding could be such a stressful event on me and everyone who comes across my path.

to top it all off i have been home from work all week with the stomach flu and have not slept in over 24 hours now.

sometimes i just wanna scream and kick something.

I have been in your shoes MANY times! I have even wanted to :chair:my FH for making plan a wedding! Ive been married before but we did the JP thing, so thats why Brian wanted me to have this wedding. Personally I could have done without it. My misery is over next Saturday and yours is the Saturday after that right? So just keep in mind that our tortures are ALMOST over!
I dont know what to tell you about the cd thing.......can you get it to play on your equipment? If so maybe you could provide your own stereo for the wedding.

I am ready for it to be over. I haven't tried playing it in my stereo. I ran out of time. But our sound system here at home is just a portable one. I don't think it would sound very good at such a large church. If we could even hear it. I to have been married before, several times actually. And each time (except the first) was at jp's. we both wanted a church wedding, it means a lot to us both. but dont' know if it means this much stress on mine and his systems. yes, we get married on may 21st. i still have not even went shopping for maid of honor dress, or FH's clothes. going to do all of that next weekend. plus i am attempting to make all the bouquets and flower arrangements myself. we haven't even had time to go buy the darn marriage license yet. will do that next friday. i haven't even bought his wedding band either. we kept upping our wedding date to accomadate my brother so he could be there, and found out about two days ago that he might not be able to make it afterall. they have put him working a lot of overtime. so much to do and so little time to do it in. and being without my anxiety medication is not helping one little bit. :censored:

Ive told Brian several times I will be on xanax and prozac before its said and done.
We just got out marriage license Monday and Brian is going this weekend to get his shirt. We still have a few piddly things left but nothing major.
Good Luck!

Aww i'm sorry that the music is not working out as you had planned. Probably getting a store bought CD is the best bet. I find that burnt CD's arn't that trust worthy at times. Only some CD players will play my burnt CD's.
I've had similar problems with stress and anxiety. I think its pretty common with brides. I recently had my medications increased because i was having so much trouble sleeping.
If you not feeling better soon with the stomic flu please go to the clinic or your Dr. to have it checked out. I had the flu last year and i was hospitalized because i hadn't eaten or slept in a long time. My body went into stravation mode and i developed a kidney infection as well. It was terrible! Take care of yourself! Try to drink lots of fluids to keep your self hydrated.

I had problems with a CD that I burned! It turns out that I didn't burn it properly. I burned the same CD for my DH and it works perfectly! Are you using cheap CDs? That can sometimes cause that to happen! Or if you don't download the song properly or even if you don't burn it just the right way! I say give it another shot and see if it will play. Maybe the first CD you burned it onto just doesn't work no matter who or what is burned onto it. Sometimes those discs are just faulty! Don't give up hope until you've tried a second time and can really say that it just doesn't work! GOOD LUCK!

I'm sorry you are having problems with your CD. I agree with Shawna, try burning it again, since that will be the easiest to play.. If nothing else, you can always switch CD's around.
