I was at a wedding show this weekend and saw a lot of chocolate fountains. Are any of you planning one at your wedding? Are they popular or just trying to sell a lot? I also noticed a huge difference in the quality but not so much in the pricing. Just wondering what brides think.

It seems to be a popular thing. I was thinking about having one during the appetizer hour. I havent made a final decision yet. I know that they book really fast though.

It seems popular. I wouldn't bother with it personally but if you have the money, go for it.

I recommend that you rent a chocolate fountain from someplace that will also provide a fountain attendant. They can take care of the set up, clean up & tear down, refill the fountain and the items for dipping as needed, keep the area tidy during the reception and prevent little ones from sticking their fingers in the chocolate.

yumm.... chocolate fountains, sounds delicious, but also sounds very messy. I think they are very nice, but i wouldn't pick one to have at my wedding, thats only my personal opinion though. I think that it could add a very nice touch to your wedding, just be sure to be careful if you decide to indulge in it yourself, no dripping on your wedding gown. Lol. ( I know i would...lol!) But again, ultimately it is what you want. I think most guests would really enjoy something like this, and find it pretty neat. I saw it the first time i went to a bridal fair and it was really tasty and good. So again, it is ultimately up to you! If you want it, I say go for it and enjoy it.

no dripping on your wedding gown Which is another reason I recommend having a fountain attendant. It would be a hit with the guests, but price-wise is definitely a splurge item.

I have been to a wedding that had a chocolate fountain. It was great!
In fact I was going to rent one for my wedding, but I did not due to the location of my wedding. I would have had to ship it there and back and find someone to manage it.
There are a lot of chocolate fountain rental companies out there, which many provide quality chocolate and even fruit trays. Some even sell specialty chocolates like white and dark.
