I keep hearing from people that I shouldn't do anything chocolate because i'm getting married in august...well, first of all, i'm sure people have done chocolate when it's hot out...right?
and it isn't like i'm having an outdoor reception or wedding... it's inside...
so.. I can do choloate...right? I'm thinking of doing some chocolate molds... I absolutely loved doing them for my church last year.. however, i'm still deciding on how to tie them into my theme...
Ugh.. i hate how ppl get into my head!!!

Girl, I would totally use the chocolate. I am getting married in Mexico on the beach and am also using the molds you speak of. (White chocolate starfish to go on our cake) May I ask what your theme is?

I guess you could say my colors are my theme... I'm doing lilac/wild orchid and silver. and the symbol i'm using to tie in everything is the double hearts (in silver of course! lol)
I just haven't found the "right" favor yet.. i want unique..but edible...

Use the chocolates!! Make sure they’re refrigerated until shortly beforehand, and then have someone take them out for you. You’re going to be in an air-conditioned building, right? Chocolate will be great! Who doesn’t like chocolate??
I hear ya on people getting in your head. For the longest time I wasn’t sure if I wanted a veil anymore, cause ONE person mentioned that she thought veils were over-rated.

if they are going to be in the air conditioning they will be fine. Just make sure they don't get left in the car or out side!
You might even put them in a cooler for the ride to the venue just to be safe.

Chocolates should be fine. We're doing boxes made out of chocolate and will have chocolate candies in the candy buffet. If you're looking for double heart chocolate molds check ebay, they have a ton of different ones, I believe you can even get the boxes in double hearts.

If you are making them yourself, what about getting foil in your colors, or putting a note/phrase on them in your colors? Also keep in mind the time frame you plan to do this because chocolate has a short shelf life.
I also agree they should be fine inside!
I'm buying chocolate in my theme shape and have a September wedding. Shipping is outrageous because most companies want to ship it in a cooler with an ice pack. Oh well because I'm not making them myself! Ordering them before the summer would be too early as well. Hats off to you because that is just a little too DIY for me. =)

I agree I don't see what the problem would be if it's indoors!
