Had our first shower yesterday... :D

So as I posted a while ago, FH's company hosted a wedding shower for us. Most of his co-workers are women, so they loooooove when someone gets married or has a baby (there are men in his division, but none of them attended :rofl: )

Anyway, so the shower was yesterday over lunch... it was so sweet. There were probably 20 people there, and several others who popped in just to give well wishes and to meet me (I've only ever met a couple of his co-workers - the ones we occasionally socialize with outside of work).

It was just very sweet.... they decorated this whole huge conference room in a Las Vegas theme we had cake and finger sandwiches and TONS of presents - Oh my goodness, we racked up in gift cards!! About $350 worth!! :bbeek: (I'm going to be writing thank you notes for MONTHS! lol....)

I think one of the girls took a few pics on my camera, but I haven't had a chance to upload them yet, but it was definitely a ton of fun. They're all super nice.

Thats so nice of them...I always feel like its especially nice when co-workers do somethign like that b/c they don't HAVE to, its not like you spend loads (in most situations) of time with them outside of work, so for them to make an effort at work is really nice.

Yeah it was extremely sweet of them (heck MY office doesn't do stuff like this anymore, and we're much smaller/closer knit than his company is!).

They were all so cute; I think a lot of them look at him like a son or a brother, and they were all coming up and squeezing my hand and telling me what a great guy he is, how sweet he is (but then adding "If he gets out of line, you just call us and we'll straighten him out!" :rofl: )
