Was sitting here this afternoon waiting for the Landlords Agent to pop round for Our Six Monthly House Inspection.

Bang Bang at the door. I jumped up expecting a "Suit" from the Letting Agency to be standing there to be confronted by a Police Woman. :bbeek:

Straight away i think, OMG somethings happened to FH. He's hit something underground and is either Dead or Injured somewhere. So i hold onto the door frame waiting for the news. When She asks Me if i heard anything last night because a Van had been stolen bewteen 10.30PM and 1AM.

The Road is about 20 foot from the side of Our House. And FH parks His Van there every night. The road into the Cul-De-Sac is very tight, only Cars park out the front. Everytime i hear any strange noise i jump up for a nose about. FH has about £4,000 ($8,000) worth of Plant onboard. And the last thing We need is for that to be stolen.
I was up until 1am and didn't hear a peep last night. So whoever took it knew exactly what they were doing.

This is the First time i've heard of any crime around here. (We used to live 500 Yards away) So it is a bit close for comfort. The Landlord only put an Alarm on the House because We live on the end of the Terrace. More as a warning to "Don't Even Try And Break In". Not because We live in a High Crime Area.

To make matters worse. The only place i could park today was exactly where the Van was taken from.

Hope they don't come back for a Four Year Old Ford. :bbeek:

Having cops show up at your door is always a bit unnearving; glad FH wasn't the reason for the visit! Hope they catch the bad guys!

I hate when stuff like that happens!

Nothing makes your heart sink faster than a cop knocking at the door, and nothing gets you more then when you finally pick your heart up off of the floor and find out that your family is ok after you've panicked

omg.. i think i would have had my heart stop!

Cops always scare me... they only have bad news when i am confronted by them... nope..they are definently not a good omen for me...

Glad to hear your FH wasn't the reason for the visit, but i do hope they catch whoever did that.... that's scary that you're so good at hearing any noises, but this guy slipped right under your radar...:bbeek:

I'm a bit peeved at Myself for not noticing anything out of the ordinary. But having said that, there are so many Vans that come and go it's impossible to know if the "Driver" is the "Owner". :bbeek:

Normally i'm at the window if anyone so much as Farts in the Street

Ack!! I hope they catch the guy! In the end though, thank goodness it was a robbery and not something worse.. Like your FH being hurt or something!

I'm glad it wasn't about your FH! That would have scared the daylights out of me.
