Me and Danny went to the fair today and had so much fun! :D Well, we really only walked around and ate everything! I had a HUGE corndog, a bratworst, an egg roll, a chocolate covered banana, and a strawberry margarita. Everything was sooo yummy! But, the margarita was weak! :irked:
Anybody else going to the fair this year? Or have been already?

You sound like me - I definitely go to the fair to EAT!!! FH & I are actually going to a fair next weekend and the weekend after. The 2nd fair is special because that is where he proposed to me last year. We want to get a caricature done as a bride & groom and use that in lieu of a photo for the mat we are going to have our wedding guests sign.

Bruce & I went with Darcy and Kaelie to the fair a couple of weeks ago. We ate a lot of "fair food" and had a blast. Kaelie rode on a lot of the rides. It was kind of hot that day...and very windy...but we had soooo much fun!

FH and I are going to the fair next weekend, and I can't wait!! My top food choices are: baked potato, corn on the cob, brownie sundae, cream puff, and kettle corn popcorn.

The fair that we normally go to is about a month away (on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend) but we will be moving that weekend so, no fair this year. :bbcry:

We went to a fair on Labor Day. I had corn chowder in a bread bowl. I didn't get my chicken on a stick. Maybe next fair if we get to another one. Around here there are fairs just about every 2 weeks in the fall. Only 45 mins. to an hour of either side of us. We took the kids so of course we had to put them on some rides. They had a blast. The baby ( well toddler lol ) loved the goats. He had to touch every one of them. The biggest thing for the kids was the piglets. There must have been a dozen of them. They were running all around then ate and then all found a cool place to lay down and nap. They were so cute. I love fairs. Around here they are all 4H fairs. I can't wait to get to another one if wer can do it. One is coming up within the week I think.

We skipped the fair this year. Where we live now, it would have been a long drive (gas money), plus paying for parking and admission, then snacks, and misc stuff. We're pretty poor right now!

I usually love seeing craft exhibits and things for sale that are made locally. The rides scare me from a mechanical sense.

We thought about going to the Minnesota fair, but everything is way too pricey, and we didn't want to spend that much money on something neither of us is terribly interested in, other than the food. We both pretty much agreed that the best food was the cheese curds, and I heard those are $7! We may go when we have kids, but I don't think we will until then.

The Greater Gulf State Fair won't be until mid Oct-the first week of November! But we are so going! We like to take the nieces and nephews and jack'em' up on food and cokes then taking home to their parents:winktongue: We are gonna be such great Aunts & Uncles!
