Orange & White Theme

So I recently became "engaged" (no ring yet but will be)

but we are big Tennessee Fans (GO VOLS) and for prom we did an Orange & White theme so we figured, bring back the old time & have an Orange & White wedding!!

He is in the Army so he will be wearing Service dress so i don't have to worry about tuxs or anything (grooms party will prob be service as well)

But do y'all have any ideas about reception & wedding ideas around... Orange?

I think those would be awesome colors simply for bold colors & sunny days':)

I've seen where brides have done orange with another color like blue, but never orange and white. Sounds beautiful though. I would be careful about overwhelming with the orange though because it is so bold.

Are you doing dark orange? If you did a light and dark orange I think that would be gorgeous!

my colors are actually orange and white... with gold here and there to tone it down... i'm having my invites orange and white, with diamante ribbon buckles... the bridesmaid dresses are orange (not pumpkin, more like a burnt orange)... my flowers will be orange and white for my bouquet and the girls bouquets will be white only.... nothing else really because i didnt want to overdo it...

i think if it was like a burnt orange it might be pretty for an evening event. the bright orange would be soo pretty for something like outside
i also must say i love the idea of a bunch of different ones of orange :)

When my MoH and I were looking at BM dresses at David's, we were shocked at how flattering orange looked on her! I decided to go with black in the end for their dresses, but I just wanted to mention that!

one of my best friends is doing a sort of vols-theme for her wedding in november - they chose their date because it's the UT-Vandy game (wedding in Nashville) - she's wearing orange shoes under her dress (I think just for the reception), the groom's cake is going to look like the stadium, and I think the other cake will be orange and white. She also talked about making their "grand exit" through orange and white pom-poms (rather than flower petals or bubbles). You could be as subtle with it or as obvious as you want to be. (the personalized m&ms are really cute and you could get those in orange and white and give little bags of those as favors). I'll be happy to send you pictures of her stuff after the fact.

Hey I'm doing orange and white too! haha I was surprised to see someone else going with it, mine is not for any other reason except that it seems so bright and cheery and something different for an August wedding.
If you look at sites like efavormart.com there's cute orange ribbon with little white dots, and personalizable (sp?) orange ribbon that you can put your names on in white. For centerpieces I think we're going to do glass bowls and float a bright orange dahlia in them.
You should definitely check out the cute dresses and flowered shoes david's bridal has right now, they are great.
Also there's tons of pretty orange flowers, I'm not sure what time of year you're getting married but there's orange gerber daisies, dahlias, glads, roses, all kinds of stuff to get you started.
