View Full Version : Foot Lotion
I am constantly in flip flops and it can really rough up your feet. When I was running and wearing socks and tennies all of the time it was amazing how nice my feet stayed! I'm not one to go get pedicures all of the time so my feet can get all rough. I got some Burt's Bees lotion from work and I've only used it a few times, but it works wonders! I rub it on my feet an hour or so before bed every night. It has a peppermint scent and it's pretty strong and quite refreshing!

The set also came with some cute flip flops and a coconut foot creme. That one smells like a pina colada and it takes all of my self control not to throw it in a blender with ice! :D This one says that it's 99.4% natural rather than the 100% natural like the lotion, but I think I'm okay with the .6%! You use this one right before bed and put socks on so it can really moisturize. I haven't used it yet, but I'm sure I will need to when that dry winter weather hits.

And they're not tested on animals! A big plus for any of you animal lovers like me!

Cool; I have the same problem and may have to get some of that stuff :)
I use Bag Balm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bag_Balm) sometimes and it works pretty good too (I use it on my dog's feet too), but I don't use it as much as I should to get the full and lasting effects. It is sort of like Vaseline and doesn't really smell great, so I don't really like it.

Wow! Yeah, I get the cracked heels pretty bad from wearing flipflops all summer and it seems like by the time I get my feet looking nice again I'm breaking out the flipflops once more. I might have to try this stuff. (Side note: I originally thought you said you rub it on your feet FOR an hour before bed each night... I was thinking geez, that's dedication! Then I reread it :))

I'll have to keep an eye out for the coconut one... right now I pretty much use Queen Helene Cocoa Butter everyday, everwhere, but its nice to have something different for bed.

I LOVE that Burt's Bee's stuff - of course I am pretty much a Burt's Bee's addict so I am a little biased. :)

Thanks for posting that! I'll definately have to go out and get some. My feet get so dry!
I just tried the coconut creme the other day. I was actually foolish enough to try it out the night of the hurricane, somehow thinking that I would sleep the whole night through! It felt kinda weird when Chad first rubbed it on, but I think that he was having too much fun and put too much on. Yes, he's actually the one who rubs it on my feet. Feet kinda weird me out, even my own! I went to bed and had socks on for maybe 3 hours, woke up from the storm, and then took my socks off because the electricity was knocked out and it was so hot. Even in that little bit of time it worked great! I haven't done any of the lotions since then and my feet are still pretty darn smooth.
Here's the set I got -

My mom's fav remedy is a foot bath, followed by a rubbing with a pumice stone, greasing your feet up with vaseline (yeah icky petroleum jelly), putting on a thick pair of socks and going to bed. :)
Ewwwww that just brought back memories of how she used to vaseline our faces in the winter to protect it from the cold wind!

A good foot care cream is because, unlike the face, neck and hands, all get a lot of attention to skin care, the feet are often ignored when it is, is important to skin care. They are not usually visible to other people or ourselves covered.
I use Avon cream for foot.
