I don't know about the rest of you brides, but I know I want to look my best for the big day, so I invested in a book called Buff Brides by Sue Fleming (only paid a $1 on amazon). Today I sat down and look through the book and I am really excited. I made my workout schedule for the next 12 weeks up today. I figured this way it would modivate me more. Has anyone thought or is currently doing this? If so I would love to hear how it's going. If any of you decided to do this then maybe we can be modivators for each other. GO BUFF BRIDES!!!!

I've got a lot of time b4 my wedding, 8/09- so my weight loss is not a concentrated one... i've lost 25 lbs since fall 2006, and kept it off, so that's more my goal... hoping to lose another 10 in the next year b4 the wedding.. but, i will be hanging with a personal trainer for about 2 months before the wedding so that i can tone up any of those, ehhemm, "loose" areas... if you know what i mean.. :)
Good luck with your schedule... I sure don't have any discipline or time for that matter to actually work out.. being lazy doesnt help either... but either way, the first step was to organize yourself and put yourself in the mindset you need to be motivated and to concentrate and get it going... but remember, you want to make this a life long committment, (no going back), so decide on how you can do that and you will always stay in the best shape you love!

Good for you!!! I will have to check out that book. I am definetely trying to be a "buff bride" I found a website www.myfitnesspal.com (http://www.myfitnesspal.com) and it keeps track of your calories. I've been on it since August 1st and have lost 7 lbs!!! I am a chocolate freak, so sometimes it's hard not totally pigging out. I'm allowed to eat sweets and carbs, just in moderation. And sometimes I don't want moderation, I just want to eat like a little piglet. LOL What kind of work-out schedule have you created? More cardio or weights?

Both the book pretty much tells you what you should do for each week for 24 weeks. I can't wait...I'm starting it Monday. I already started eating healthy meals...FH is doing the same which makes it nice. I too love chocolate so I bought little packets of M&M's in the Halloween Section of Walmart. It seems to be working so far. Congrats on your 7 lb. loss!!! My goal is to be 20 lbs lighter and buff before our wedding!!!! Keep me updated on your goals and accomplishments!!!

My FH is also doing the same (Yes it helps a lot) I have discovered "Betty Crocker Mini Delights" They are in the baking aisle, and are only 150 calories. (You don't get very much cake, but hey atleast you get something) LoL, I also want to lose atleast 10 more lbs before the wedding.I really need to start crackin down!!!!

First night off work out routine and I'm feeling pretty good. Going to be sore tomorrow!!! I really like this Buff Bride book because it even has pictures to show you if your doing the exercise correctly or not. My FH and I went to the gym and road the bikes for 20 minutes (it was tough because I'm out of shape) and then he did his thing and I did my Buff Bride work out. We have been doing pretty good on the healthy eating. I did splurge this afternoon when I woke up (work midnights). I think I should eat before I sleep so I don't feel like I'm starving when I get up and eat a ton of stuff.
