Im starting on my Christmas list.:grinhappy: I know Im a little early. Perfume is always on my list, I don't know why but its something I never buy myself. Im wanting something different...I usually get the Escada summer scents for my b-day. I want something thats light and fresh, sweet and fruity...not musky.
So any suggestions?? what do you ladies use??
I really enjoy Clinque Happy or Happy Heart. But this year I want Daisy by Marc Jacobs, something different... :)

You have probably never heard of it ...... but when I was 18 I got a small sample of Chloé, and fell in love. I have been wearing it ever since. It's a bit pricey so DH normally buys it for me. LOL

I fell away from scents with my ex-husband, but have since rediscovered the one of my youth, Enjoli. Terrifically light and not musky at all.
And I (being of a certain age) remember Chloe. Great scent.

I don't know why, but I always seem to gravitate toward Ralph Lauren. I have Blue and Romance, and I love them both.

Princess by Vera Wang. Got it for Christmas a couple years ago. Mmm...as it gets colder I should start wearing it again. She also has a scent called Bouquet that I guess is designed to appeal to brides? It's not bad either, based on the magazine sample, ha.
And Pleasures by Estee Lauder also smells yummy. Both Pleasures and Princess are pretty sweet, and Princess is not too heavy but just amazing. I may have to dig out the box and take a whiff now.

My favorite perfume ever is called Blue Rush and it's by Avon. And they also have a good one called Wish of Happiness that's somewhat citrusy but not too strong.
And then another good one is always Victoria's Secret's Love Spell. That one will always be grand.

I don't wear perfume much, I guess I am more of a body splash gal ;) I like slightly sweet and/or light floral stuff. Right now I have this stuff from Target called Sangria Slash and I like that alot. I also have one from Bath and Body works called Sweet Pea; I use to love their Plumeria flavor, but they stopped making it.
A few years ago DH bought me some Tommy Girl perfume; I have worn it a few times, but I am sure the bottle is still pretty much full ... come to think of it, I have no idea where the bottle is.

I was wearing Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom body spray all summer. I am quickly running out. Mary Kay just released some new scents and I might have to check them out!
For the longest time though, it was Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly.

My favorite scent ever was a bath and body works. It was ocean...something. But of course they discontinued it:snide:

I wish I was closer to the outlet store that carrieds Bath and Body works discontinued products for cheap; I'd look for Ocean. The store is about 15 minutes from my hometown, and my mom keeps saying how great it is.
I also wanted to say that it might not be too early to start a Christmast list. This coming Sunday, I think, is when all the Christmas trees are going up at Kohl's. How crazy is that?

I don't remember what it was called exactly. it was like ocean mist or something to that effect. But the one here told me they discontinued it...

I know it is crazy! I went to Hobby Lobby last week and, no joke, half of the store was christmas stuff! I got so excited!!!lol

On the "cheap but chearful" end, there used to be a scent called Love's Baby Soft (smelled like baby powder) and Loves Lemon (smelled like - you guessed it; a lemon). I don't know if they still make it but it was wonderful.
My step DD buys something that smells like cotton candy. Does anyone have any idea of what that might be?

hmmm, i haven't heard of the cotton candy perfume.
I used to wear Loves Baby Soft....I loved that stuff! I remember when i was little, my great aunt bought me perfume from AVON, the bottle looked like a doll the base was green and the head (actually I think it was an animal head now that I think of it, maybe a french poodle or something) I don't remember the name of it, but every once in a great while i get that smell and it takes me back. I am sure I have the bottle somewhere in the basement, as I never throw anything out. Sorry for the ramble. :)

I wear one that probably no ones heard of - it's called Vanderbilt. Just a nice soft scent - not musky at all - I am SOOOOO picky with scents that I don't know what I will do when they discontinue this - although I think I tried Pleasures some time ago and it didn't turn into something totally awful on me, so thats hopeful. :)
(And please forgive me.... but I cant WAIT til Christmas. I am such a kidlit at heart.) :D

Ha! My mom used to sell avon. I had some of those "perfumes" too.
Re: the cotton candy scent - I wonder if it's DEMETER - COTTON CANDY COLOGNE.
I think she said that if she couldn't find the "real one", she gets something from Walmart.

Every time I fall in love with a scent, they discontinue it! First it was exotic coconut from Bath and Body Works and then Sweet and Tart from the Victoria's Secret Pink collection. Now I'm in transition. My special occasion perfume is Angel by Thierry Mugler. It's made with patchouli and chocolate and I absolutely love it.

My guilty pleasure is the Paris Hilton line of perfumes!! hahaha I have the one called Paris Hilton and one called Heiress...Heiress is my all time favorite!!! She has another one that's called Can Can but I haven't tried it yet!
I used to wear Cool Water, but for the last couple of years I've worn Givenchy Very Irresistible. After this Givenchy bottle is out I'm going to switch to something more natural though.

I really love Dolce & Gabbana's "Light Blue". I always do well with more citrus-y type scents, and I adore that one. It's expensive though.
The other one I like is one from Hollister called "Ryder" which has a sort of "sea-breeze" smell to it. I like that one in the summer quite a bit.

I love CK One Summer the 2007 edition of it. I don't like the 2008 one much. Since it was a '07 edition I have to buy some on ebay. It's got a citrisy smell to it. I also have 8 from Abercrombie, CK In2U, Hugo, Adidas and Cowgirl I wear. I try to change it up from time to time. I love perfume, always on the look out for something new. I will have to write some of these down to take a look at sometime.

I have way bad allergies, so most perfumes are out for me, ecspecially the citrus ones. I have found though that anything with the scent of vanilla and fh spends alot of time smelling me. I have even had friends dh's make comments. I think it is the whole baking thing!

I've worn Clinique Happy for a while now (the last 4 years!). Recently I was buying perfume for my mom and found the best scent - it's called Dazzling Silver by Estee Lauder. There's also a Dazzling Gold but it's not good. I've been hinting at FH that I like it, but I don't think he's gotten it yet :-P

if you have trouble with allergies and perfume, but like vanilla, I know my mother and grandmother both used to wear vanilla extract ( the dark or the clear stuff) as a perfume. It works great!

I don't wear perfume often cause it usually makes me splotchy (weird, I know...), but I love Bobbi Brown Beach in the summer. It actually smells like sunshine and sunscreen and ocean... and it reminds me of one of my best friends (who I don't see very often anymore) because we bought it together for the first time and she loves it too!
Sometimes I'll wear it in the winter just to perk me up a little bit...

I love the Ralph Lauren "Style" that Hubby got me for Christmas. I couldn't figure out how to describe the scent so I looked it up, and this is the website description:
Lauren Style is made up of the following notes: Kumquat, Lime, Tangerine, Bulgarian Rose, Nectarine Blossom, Orange Blossom, Violet Leaves, Gardenia, Jasmine, Tuberose, Hedione, Magnolia, Patchouli, Suede Note, Woods, Skin Musk 2000, Heliotrope, Benzoin, Vanilla.
No wonder I couldn't describe it! lol!

L'Occitane Eau de 4 Reines is my favorite!
I also love their Mimosa perfume. I didn't like it in the bottle, but when one of my coworkers squirted it on me as a joke, it worked beautifully with my body chemistry.

I just finished up my bottle of Raven Song by Nene Thomas. Apparently they discontinued it. Grrrrr. I've heard Immortal scented body oil is close in scent though, so I'll probably order some and hope for the best.
