Sorry if this has been asked before and I didn't catch it.... but I'm curious... Since you have been engaged or married when you go out with your girlfriends have your friends made it a point to tell men that come around that you are off the market? Even though you are sporting bling from your husband/FH and obviously have no interest in the guys?

LOL maybe they are just doing it so that they can stand out more - "ie Oh she's taken but ...... I am not - look at me! look at me!"

I actually haven't been out since getting married, but when we were engaged, I had to do that a few times, cause some guys just don't get the "i'm not intersted" speech! lol:D

ummm not usually but my best friend and i were out on friday and some guy came and sat at our table and my friend was like please leave we are having a girls night, and he said "im not interested in you, im interested in your friend" and she said "no thank you, she has a fiance" and he said "thats just a title, doesnt matter to me" Needless to say, she went off, gave him a 5 second countdown before she slapped him clear across the face..
funniest night ever!

oh my gosh! ya'lls stories are too funny!
I don't go out that much, b/c Fh and I like to go out together to avoid this situation (and the gossips that see what they want to see and relay it how they want to...I'm sure ya'll know someone who fits that description) anyway, but we used to go to this club in Coffeeville where his mom and dad did kareoke and I was sitting at a table with, dancing with, sitting in the lap of Fh all night long and directly across from our table was another, with a guy.....anyway at one point during the night I walked up to the bar to get our drinks b/c the waitress was somewhere else and this guy walks up and ask if he can buy me a drink I told him thankyou but I already ordered and then he said well would you like to dance and I just looked at hime and then back at Fh and said well you'd have to ask him...he actually started to go over and ask!!! I was like :bbeek: NO Thankyou!
Then for a girlfriends bachlorette party we went to a pool hall all was fine it was jsut us girls and a honorable girl (a guy co-worker of my friend who was DD) so we're playing pool having some drinks and these guys come over and ask if its a bacholorette party (we were all wearing flower leis) she told him yes adn then proceeded to flirt with the guy for a while...then when we left to go to a dance place she actually told them where we were going if they wanted to meet us there!!:bbeek: Once we got there they actualy showed up adn my friend spent the rest of the evening grinding on this guy & letting him buy her drinks!!! Then when we finally told her it was time to go home, they were trying to get us to go meet with them for coffee! And she (the bride to be) wanted to go! The MOH (and DD) finally got so upset she told her (the BTB) that she could go if she wanted but she'd have to ride with them (the guys) b/c everyone else was ready to go home, and we all have husbands, b/f or Fh and no interest in going out to coffee with two strange men! Especially since it was supposed to be a girls night!
sorry still t's me off even now!
But I can understand your frustration!:grinhappy:

Well let me tell you guys why I asked, lol last night DH and I went to PI with a group of friends while there we run into a guy at the Adventurer's club that happened to be there a few months ago during my bachelorette party. He kept picking on a cast member that had an accidental "wardrobe malfunction" that night... her entire skirt fell to her ankles while she was dancing just after we made her an honorary bachelorette (if you've been to the club it was Pamelia and she kept pouting because she would never be one lol) poor thing.
So after we go to Ihop and the same guy shows up with his friends (during the show they kept picking on him and calling him green shirt guy)
So my girlfriend keeps eyeing green shirt guy, it's also obvious that he is into her. At some point DH gets up to go to the restroom so green shirt guy plops himself down at our table. So he starts talking to her and at some point he says something to me and I told him (jokingly) to go away and stop trying to steal my friends. He cracks up laughing and the suddenly my girlfriend slams her hand on the table in a point at me and says "she just got married two weeks ago to the guy that was sitting here just a minute ago, isn't that great!" It was just weird and out of place lol by this point DH gets back green shirt guy says congrats to DH and I and leaves only to come back several times during the night.
She was by far the prettiest of all of us at the table and he was beyond a doubt into her so I just thought it was funny...
But now that I'm thinking about it, I actually have new thoughts on it, I'm thinking that maybe she was scared that green shirt guy would think that she was with my husband since she was sitting across the table from him (he was sitting next to me). So I'm thinking she was trying to find a way to make it clear to him that she was single lol either way it was just funny lol

So back when I was working at La Gourmet Chef I was working with a girl who would just keep me laughing all the time. So anyway we were yucking it up one night and these two guys come into the store. Nobody else just the 4 of us. So we are cutting up and she's flirting with both of them, so one of the guys asked me out. I held up my hand with my rings and said " Sorry guys, you're 2 months too late. LOL"
His response made me feel pretty good... darn just my luck, and RC made sure when I got home I remembered I was married to him.

My MOH and I used to go out and let guys hit on us and think they were making progress...before we'd break the news that we weren't on the market.
We're not nice girls. :winktongue: And besides, it's nice to have somebody tell you you're pretty every once in a while!

I tell guys straight up that I'm off the market. And I'm pretty mean about it sometimes because sometimes guys just don't get it! lol!

I must give off the aura of being married. We were at Toolie328's bachelorette party, and this guy just kept hanging around our group (five of us girls). We're all taken in some way, but he points at me and says, "You're married, aren't you?" So I hold up my ring finger and said YEP! I was the only one he called out, too. Weird guy... but I guess I don't go to the bars enough to get hit on anymore. That's alright by me! :)
