Well I've had a big week this past week.......

I started classes again 2 weeks ago (grad school). I commute to school about an hour away and have classes on Weds and Thurs, so on Weds night I spend the night with a friend. While leaving her apartment for class last Thursday, I HIT A CAR IN THE PARKING LOT. Ugh. It's a small parking lot, and I hit the front of another car while backing out of my spot. SO like the good samaritan that I am, I left a note. The guy was grateful that I had done so, and was very nice about the whole situation, but needs his bumper replaced which is going to run me $800! Grr..

Well the world works in mysterious ways.. Just when I need some money, I gets me some money.

I've worked as a secretary for a mental health clinic the past couple of years (to help pay for school). And the coordinator of the clinic has always loved me and told me to come and interview once I graduated. I never thought he was serious, but I got an email from him last week telling me that he had 2 openings to fill and he wanted me to come interview. My degree is in School Counseling, but apparently my degree will work for mental health counseling too. SO I interviewed today and it looks like I might have myself a little job!!! It's nice because I'll start with 20 hours so that I can keep taking classes, and then whenever I'm ready I can move up to 40. I'm THRILLED!! It's going to be wierd changing roles like that (I'm sure it doesn't happen a lot), but I'm excited that we'll be bringing in a little extra money to help pay for the wedding, honeymoon, etc.. Not to mention random fender benders :-P I think I'll sleep a little sounder tonight!

Congratulations on your possible job!

and just wanted to say kudos to you for being a good samaritain, people should do things like that more often ...you know the "golden rule" and all that, it would make the world a little nicer place to be!

Okay i"m off my soapbox now:winktongue:

That's some good news! :)

Well, not the hitting the car part...!

The world does work in mysterious ways - I think it just shows it pays handsomely to be a good person. Karma....
