I've performed at 100's of wedding throughout the years and I always notice one problem.
The band is hired for 4 hours normally and they end up playing dance music for about 1.5 hours. Why you may ask???.....
Majority of the people do not have a schedule of events. They "AD LIB" the entire reception or they schedule just a little too many activities before the first dance then after dinner and the first dance alot of people leave because they are now too tired or too bored to want to stay.
I try my hardest to let them know how to schedule the reception to get the most for their money.
