...Being in school that is. I had my first class today as a graduate student. It wasn't quite as nerve-wracking as I thought it was going to be. It actually felt really nice to be back in school again, and I finally realize that all the stress over school is so worth it. I'm even in the library there now, typing this.
Now it should definitely be interesting to see my try to plan the wedding and do homework when I procrastinate very, very badly.
How is school going for the rest of you that are in it?

Stressful! My chemistry and chem lab are assigning a great deal of homework, and I am just buried every week! College is part of the reason that our wedding is very undecided right now- we barely ever have any time to talk about it, brainstorm, and lay plans.... that and the fact that college expenses are leaving us broke! :realmad:

I'm glad you're liking it so far! What are you getting your degree in? Masters or Ph.D?
I'm a grad student too, so I know what you mean about that and wedding planning. This is my last semester of class and I only have 2, but I'm teaching an undergrad research methods class (did this in spring too). More of my time these days goes to research projects. Next semester I'll have comps and will be coordinating our media effects research lab. Then it's dissertation time...

I'm going for my masters. PhD is one step beyond that, isn't it? That'd be a bit scary, I think. Graduate school was very much freaking me out, and I went to class, and it really wasn't any different from my undergrad classes, except the topic of focus is pretty different.
I'm going for library science, and it was almost weird to be in a room with so many people that are also interested in libraries... but it was cool.

Been a week now since classes started. Seems like this semester will be okay. This is my last semester as an undergrad then will take a semester off to think about grad school and to find a job in my field.
I have 3 lab classes, which sucks cause I spend lots of time on lab reports. I also have a writing class where I have to present twice this semester, yuck.

Yes, and it differs quite a bit more from undergrad. We do have classes for a while, but they are usually long seminars centered on discussion and research, or learning methods. Mostly we are geared toward furthering the research field with our own work.
Good luck, sounds like it's great for you!
