We live in the burb's of Chicago and hardly ever go into the city. Last night we went for dinner to use up a gift card we received for Christmas before it expired. We had such a great time! Here is me in front of the Rock n Roll McDonald's, they have bronze statues all around. The one of me and Ronald didn't turn out, but we had fun!

Here is a nice view from one of the side street we were on, the weather was so nice last night, we walked for like 5 miles round trip from the train station...

Nifty! Those tour boats look like fun - ever taken a ride?

We don't go into the city all that much either ... unless of course we have visitors.

I have not been on the boats downtown. We were actually talking about doing one sometime next year when it is a little warmer out. Our company always gets invited from one of our suppliers, but the night they had it, it looked liked it was going to rain. :(

Isn't it strange that even though You live near the City Centre You hardly ever go there.

Same here with London. We're about 20 Mile outside. I only go in to see the Christmas Lights when the Girls are down. Christmas Shopping with FH. Or go into the City to see a Live Band.

FH on the other hand goes in everyday because He works there. He's based within the Square Mile. Which is where all the Big Business is.

Sometimes He works around St Pauls. So one day We "Kidnapped" Our Witnesses Homer Simpson and took Him "On Tour".

Here's just Two Photos of Homers Tour.

Outside St Pauls Cathedral.

And outside The Bank Of England.

I have a chuckle at them now and then. Maybe i should do a Homer Simpson On Tour Thread.

We only "Kidnapped" Him because Our Witness stole FH's Middlesbrough Football Flag and held it to ransom :bbeek:

We got the Flag back after We posted $1Million in "Cyber Cash" on the Bands Forum.
Then when We moved into Our present Home. Our Witness was caught trying to sneak out FH's Gold Award.

Boys will be Boys

Aww, Chicaaaaago. I went down a month or so ago to meet FH after work and we did one of those Wendella boat tours... Chicago at sunset. It took us out past Navy Pier and we watched the sun go down from out on the lake, then we came back in and they pointed out special buildings and gave some history. It was fun--even to natives, it's neat to hear some of that stuff you don't really learn otherwise.

Great pics, Dani...!

Mitch, everywhere I look in my house there's a Homer something (thanks to FH) - if you need another one to "kidnap" you know where to go!

Oh! You make me miss my Chicago :( I love it here in Florida, but I certainly do wish I could go to Chicago again.

I am sure the food is a thing to miss too! Portillo's is always a Chicago fave. We really did have a good time, I don't know why we don't go more often, I think cause of train schedules and having the dogs it makes a long day for them (especially the puppy) having to be in her crate.

Our two favorite places to eat were Gino's East and The Cheesecake Factory.
