So my family has honeybees (yes we take the honey off etc) and this past weekend I was helping my dad take the honey off---it's like a tradition that I help him do so. Since we get approximately 50 + pounds of honey every time we take honey off (sometimes done twice a year!), my FH had the idea of giving honey in little jars as favors (4 oz max)Iwant to put a cute little tag on the jar with some kind of poem/cute saying. Any thoughts?? Here is what I have come up with:
Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice...Thanks for BEEing with us on our special day!
Or:
Love is Sweet.
or anything along those lines...any ideas or suggestions??

I found a couple of things online. For an Even Sweeter "Thank You" Just Add Honey. In early Greece and Rome honey symbolized fertility, love, and beauty. Furthermore, in Greek mythology, it is said that Cupid dipped his arrows in honey to fill the lovers heart with sweetness
"Life is a flower in which love is the honey"
"Meant to Bee"
"Sweetened with Love"
"Love is Buzzin"
"Sweeter than Honey"
On all of these they put stickers on the jars with the couples name, and then the saying.

We're doing the same thing! We don't 'take the honey off' but a local honey producer has hives on one of my Moms farms - so it adds a personal touch (also doing homemade raspberry jam!). I've been searching for some cute tag line too - I was going to use the Meant to Bee..but I'm still not sure. There are a few great alternatives here - (I will be watching this thread!) :D

If anyone wants to send me samples for testing, I'll be sure to tell you if it's worthy of your guests

OK I totally missed the "Thanks for BEEing with us on our special day" - thats PERFECT!
(My name means bee - my FH is my 'Huggy Bear' bears love honey, and one of his endearment names for me is Honey - so this all fits us well) <--- just in case your quota for learning totally useless information wasn't filled for today. :D
