Post Wedding Haircuts!

So , I know a lot of you ladies out there had some drastic hair cuts right after the wedding - and now I am joining the club!

I am a big fan of shorter hair because it's so much easier to "coif" and maintain (at least it is for me).

I kept it "longer" to get the curls for my wedding day -

I did the post wedding haircut thing too and HATE myself for it :(

She thinned it way out and cut the layers WAY too short. I ended up having to get a temporary body wave put into it to make it look halfway decent :( I sure hope it grows back out SOON!

This is totally my intention too! Right now ( I dn't have pic's b/c I'm at work) I have a body wave in it...and its right at my shoulders. By my wedding in May it will probably be a good few inches down my back. But after the wedding I intend to get it cut into a "bob" with layers framing my face this is my fav hair style:grinhappy:

Thanks :) I didn't want to cut that short cause I didn't think it would look good on me. Then DH kept commenting how he thought it would be "hot" so I finally tried it.

I am surprised that I have gotten the most compliments on my hair since it has been on the shorter side that I really ever have!

Thanks Sarah! I just stole it from my haircut thread... It's longer now - it hit a growth spurt right after I cut it, so it's getting *too* long now. I think I'll go a little shorter next time :)

I loved the way it looked the whole time we were in Mexico. It was just slightly wavy and I never had a bad hair day! However, when I'm at home in Texas the unbelievable humidity gets a hold of my hair and it never looks this good. Soooo I chopped it off a month after the wedding -

This was right after it was cut so it was still all perfect from the hairdresser. It was a little too blown out and perfect, but I still loved it! Problem is that I realized we just don't have the money for an expensive salon and I won't let a cheapie place do anything but give me a trim so I'm letting it grow out again. *sigh* Now I wish that I wouldn't have cut it in the first place! This is what it looks like now -

Im getting mine cut off sometime soon. And maybe darkened, I did last year and it came out way darker that I thought. I ended up liking it but at first I wanted to cry.

Wow, so I'm not the only one with the idea of chopping my hair off after the wedding day. I've been growing mine out for the purpose of having more options for the wedding. I'm not sure how long I'll let it grow to before I go crazy and decide to cut a little bit of it.

I used to have really long hair because I hated getting it cut at places... but once I finally did start getting it cut, I haven't gone back to the really long hair. I wish I had before and after pics of the really long, to the medium long, to the shoulder length and a little longer that it's at now. It'd be a pretty big difference.

I think that cut would be great on you; I like your natural color, but think darker would be great too :)

In high school like 5 or 6 years ago I had someone, who I had never talked to, tell me that. I think we had the same luch hour.They just came up to me and said "you look so much like Julianne Moore!" I was like huh? really? thanks LOL.

I'm thinking of the opposite--cutting my hair shorter for the wedding (just above the shoulder)! I hate wearing it down when it's too long because it ends up in my eyes or mouth. I usually only get a haircut once or twice a year.
