Ok so I know some of you are going to fuss at me for logging on during my honeymoon.... but I just wanted to make a quick post... and I miss you guys lol... DH and I are having an amazing honeymoon DH's dad got us this amazing suit with marble floors and a hot tub, living room and dining room.... right on the beach! I love my inlaws, I feel bad for complaining about my Mother in law! lol anyway... on our way back in from the beach we crashed a wedding... yeah I know... but from afar, way way afar unlike some horrible others who actually dragged beach chairs on up to the ceremony. lol anyway it was a beautiful wedding (if any of you lovelies happened to have gotten married on Marco Island lol your wedding was beautiful haha) anyway my heart kinda broke for the bride. When she made he entrance no one stood.. I wanted to cry for her because I know the most amazing part for me was stepping up to the door to the chapel and seeing the entire place stand once they saw me...
That's actually my whole reason for this post is to ask you guys, am I wrong or is it not usual practice to stand when the bride enters?
No one stood at my sisters wedding but the wedding party, so my mom was obsessed with making sure everyone stood at mine... She reminded the pastor several times to make sure to ask everyone stand, he just laughed and said he wouldn't forget that it was normal practice for the pastor to ask everyone to stand.... but I don't know now.... it was a Jewish wedding (which I LOVED seeing I love seeing different practices it's so interesting to me) so maybe they do things different...
Any way... anyone know what the norm is? I always thought everyone should stand but maybe I'm wrong....
