It keeps saying that I have a paper jam, and I don't. I've cleaned the rollers, moved them around a bit to make sure they're not stuck, etc. I need to print my parking pass and my time sheet for school. Seriously, I want to take a baseball bat to it.
On a funny note, I think Sandles feels my pain and wanted to avenge me. I went to 7-11 to get something to drink. When I came back, the printer was on the floor by the desk, with Sandles in the closest window giving me a knowing smile. He definitely got a "good boy!" pat pat for that one.

*snicker* Don't you hate when stuff doesn't work right when you know it should?!

Yup! Fortunately I got it to start working. I just restarted my computer! *Bangs head on desk*
But now, since I haven't used it all summer, I need a new black ink cartridge, as all of my pages are coming out greyscale. Still, I'm just happy they're coming out at all now!

I'm glad you got it working! Haha, that's funny about the cat.
I used to love it in high school when I would procrastinate very badly on papers then go to print them on the day they were due, and the printer refused to work for one reason or another. (Never happened in college 'cause I used the school printers for nearly everything.)
Haha. That's how technology makes me feel sometimes. Atleast your cat knows how to deal with it, huh?!?

Oh gosh, the same thing always happened to me too! :snide:

The latest Reader's Digest has a list of things computer repair techs "don't want you to know". The first is that over 90% of malfunctions and errors can be eradicated simply by rebooting the computer. First thing I try every time. Sorry, printer ink, however, is not one of the things solved by this step.

I took a Baseball Bat to My very first PC. The neighbours thought i had gone mad when they saw Me smashing the life out if it. :bbeek:
And if My internet connection doesn't speed up i'm going to be threatening Virgin Media with a Bat too.
If it gets any slower it'll be going backwards. :ooh:
And Yes i can phone them up and complain that their service sucks. But like a typical "Communication" Company. They are never easy to communicate with.
Press # for this.
Press #2 for that.
If You are still alive Press #9
While We put You on Ignore
I think they would have problems with Two Tin Cans and a Piece of String

That's a bizarre thing for them to say... My FH is actually a computer tech, and he has said to me several times that he wishes they would put signs up saying "Before you call tech support, please restart your computer". If you've restarted before you call, it eliminates a lot of problems and saves the support staff at least 5 minutes of waiting for it to reboot... Plus doubtful that 90% of malfunctions can be fixed like this; unless by malfunctions they have included every complaint made, most of which aren't due to actual malfunctions. It comes down to most issues being PEBKAC-related. (PEBKAC = problem exists between keyboard and chair)

Is it your plan, your cables or your connection that is slow..? I don't know if you guys get shaped on your plans, but that's generally the cause of slow net down here. If you're having trouble getting onto them via the phone, is there a website where you cna log into your account and check details...? Not all of them have those here, but may in the UK. I feel your pain though, there are some ISP's here in Oz that I will never deal with again because of their non-existant customer service! :irked:

I think it's more to the fact that FH is CONSTANTLY streaming Music for the Internet Radio Station. It goes to "Auto DJ" if no ones in the chair. Even though they have DJ's in the UK, US and Oz to cover 24/7 airtime. Sometimes there's no one actually talking between songs.
When FH is on air He also downloads heaps of songs to the HD. And i'm on a Wireless connection to His PC. So that make's it slow.
Plus there's about 20 people around Me who have the Internet and some nights My Wireless jumps from one to the other. Even though Our connection is "Locked" sometimes the Laptop decides to have a bit of a "Night Out On The Town" and does a kinda Bar Hop around the Neighbourhood. :snide:

You on a PC or Mac? If you're on a PC, set your wireless network as auto join, and everything else as manual. Then it shouldn't connect to anyones networks without your say-so!

We used to have internet that went backwards! Well, practically. We had AOL dial-up, which pretty much says it all, and then the computer was also very old with lots of unneccessary junk on it. It would go very slow and boot me offline about a million times in a half hour.
It was incredibly frustrating 'cause it was when I was a teen to young adult age, and I would hold serious conversations with people over IM sometimes and get booted midway through.
Ahh, the fun days of AOL 4.0 and beyond.
