Three Weeks ago strong winds blew the pilot light out on Our Gas Fire and it finally gave up the ghost and refused to re-light. As soon as We took Our finger off the ignition it went out again. :bbeek:
So for the past Three Weeks i've had to fill the bath each night with Hot Kettles and Saucepans of Water. Wash Hair using a Kettle and boil water to Wash the Dishes.
Because We Private Rent, Our Landlord was worried about the cost of repair incase it meant an entire New Heating System. Houses here now have Wall Heaters / Boilers and not Back Boilers behind Fires. Which can cost a couple of Thousand to change.
Then this Afternoon an Engineer turned up out of the blue and Fixed It. :D
It was the Ignition and the Thermocouple that needed replacing. Took Half Hour to repair. And We now have Hot Water and Heating.
I'm one Happy Bunny. :ura1:
