So i talked the dj like 3 weeks ago and told her the music we wanted and that we wanted modern music etc. and she said everything was ok etc.... and NOW she called my FMIL last nite and told her that she was offended by the choice of music we picked for the wedding(which i wrote a list of songs and type of music i wanted and the type i DIDNT want. which i wanted modern rock and pop and didnt want country and oldies) and she said that she told me that alls she plays is country NOT TRUE SHE DIDNT TELL ME ****. so now we are stuck with no DJ with only 10 DAYS left till the wedding. and the dj said and i quote if i played rock music i would leave there with a screaming headache and so would everyone else!! i mean what the F.

I answered this in your journal, Rebecca, but I will answer it here too.

Get rid of her sorry butt! She sucks! Adios! Sayonara! Auf Vierdersehen!(sp) Do you get my gist?!?!? I think you can still find someone wonderful even though you only have 10 days left. Anyone would be better really. Keep us posted!

Auf weidersehen! Sorry my DH is german...lol. But yes I agree with Karen! This woman is a total biotch and she does not deserve to take your money! have you phoned other companies and explained to them what has happened?? Perhaps they can find it in the good ness of their hearts to help you out!! If all else fails, get a good stereo system and pick someone who knows what you like and have them play CDs. There is also always burning mix CDs with what you like (and mixing them good) so that you can pop them in and only worry about changing them every now and again!! SOrry to hear your luck with that witch Rebecca! Good luck honey!

Did you pay a deposit? If so, did you get it back? You should still have time to find a DJ, but with it being short notice, you might have to pay more than you originally wanted.
Good Luck!

Or less than you expected. Let's face it, if they aren't booked up by now, the chances of them booking are slim. You might be able to negotiate a better price.

Good point Lacey. I was thinking that they might try to take advantage of her because shes in a tight spot.

yeah, could go either way. But I would definitely git rid of this one and demand your money back if they cant give you what you want.

Best wishes and Good luck!!

I totally agree w/ everyone when they said get rid of her sorry butt!!
What kind of DJ only plays music that "they" like?! This is your wedding ,it's supposed to be about "you!" Canadian Bride had a great idea about getting a reasonable priced stereo system & having a friend or someone play the music for you. I would have said the same thing! I am helping plan my sister's wedding & the DJ we picked out bailed out on us last min. too. My sis is either going to buy a stereo system from Wal-Mart or we are going to just rent one for the week. (Rent a Center or somewhere, you don't have to sign any contracts & you can take it back any time you want.) As for music: If you need a site you can download music from: www.morpheus.com (http://www.morpheus.com) is a site you can dwnld music from for free! They have just about any song too.
Let me know how everything works out!
