Does anyone eles feel like if their brain wasn't safely trapped inside your head and your head wasn't fastened to your neck you would absolutely loose them?
Lately i feel like i have been struggling to keep everything in order. I feel like my memory is going down the tube and if i don't make a list it won't get done and then i have to remember to bring the list with me. For some reason i completely forgot about paying bills this month until now. I still had a couple days on most of them but i missed the deadline for one. :( It's fustrating to all belief because it is such an easy thing to do. I can pay them online and i spend so much time at the computer each day you'd think that taking the 2 minutes to pay them would be easy. But insted i'm off in my own little world.

I need to get out of this and soon! I can't afford to be forgetting things so much when i am working full time. I don't know if there is somthing wrong with me or if it's just because i've got so much happening with the wedding and finishing school and thinking about moving and finding a job or what.

I'm really bad with bills, so I've put reminders on my calender on the computer that pop up and remiind me when a bill is due.
My brain was totally scatter-brained the closer I got to the wedding. I finally feel like I'm working with a full deck now that it's over.

Jennifer, you have a hell of lot on your plate right now. I think you're doing great just being able to work, go to school, and plan for your wedding. Bills are probably way down your list of priorities right now. I think your load will lighten somewhat after your wedding is over. Hang in there!

I know how that goes! The other day I walked out of the house and realized I didn't even have shoes on! I use to be real bad with remembering to pay bills. Now I keep them on my desk right under my computer monitor where I can see them. Every week I look through them to see what's due. Maybe that will help you.

I wrote everything on the Calendar. But for some reason that didn't work. I think i will have to set up an e-mail reminder for next month.
I really hope that things get better cause i know i will just go crazy if it continues to go on this way. I am such a organization freak. Haven't left without shoes yet. Have left without glasses or keys.

When I was living on my own (as well as with my first marriage) I use to be really organized and on top of all the bills and such. Now, I have alot to handle with my business ... I make lists and keep a calendar with reminders. My DH handles all the home related bills, as well as our taxes and such too. He reminds me about stuff too ... I don't know what I would do without him.

Jenn, I understand exactly how you feel. I have a few ideas that helped me.
I know this sounds really juvenile, but you can put a dry erase board on the BACK of your front door. You have a list of the everyday things....."Did you remember........?" And if theres something you need to do or take the next day theres another list....."Dont forget......."
Also training yourself to take one (or more) day a week to check the calendar and pay bills, send letters, make calls, etc. Mine is Mondays while Brian is watching his shows that I dont care for. He usually takes 2 or 3 days a week for his bills and stuff. I can get all mine done in the 2 hours I have, and he takes 30 to 45 minutes at a time for his. Works for us.
When we had a lot of stuff piled up that needed to be done (and didnt even know where to start) we printed a daily appointment sheet off the computer (you know the one with times on it) and set aside certain times, ex. from 6:30 - 7:00, to do certain tasks and WE STUCK TO IT. It took us all week to catch up on everything, but we werent stressed about it, because we knew when we were going to do what.
The email reminders work too if you need that extra alert! I use my cell phone for it sometimes if its something important that Im scared Im gonna forget!
Hope this helps!

Thanks Cindy.
I make lists of things for us to do each week. Usually is ok. But everyonce and a while we don't get anything done. I definatly will try to make it a weekly habbit to spend time doing the bills and office stuff. Thats a great idea!
Thanks!

Let's face it Jenn...You have wedding brain my dear! I was the same way around the time of our wedding. It's hard but it definately got better. I know when I was working I had to make lists all the time for myself at work otherwise I would forget where I needed to go and pick up parts and such! Then if I did forget my aunt would scream at me! I mean literally scream at me! It was horriable and she has scarred me for life but thats besides the point...lol. Anyhow, Cindy has a wonderful idea, and infact my brother and his wife used to do that to remember when to pay which bill and what they needed to do!! I wish you the best, and don't worry, some brain function will come back to you after the wedding!!

mmmm wedding brain is kinda soupy!
I was sitting there today thinking of all the things i need to do and couldn;t think of anything. Then at dinner my mom started rhyming off the things i need to do while she is in florida all next week and i'm thinking.... why is she bothering?! I can't remember any of this and my note book isn't here.
I felt so bad.... I was sitting in class today and my friend was talking to me and i was looking at her and watching her mouth move and hearing her voice but i had no clue what she was saying.... my inner dialog was telling me to listen. But i was too busy listening to it tell me that. :bbeek:
Maybe if i spend some serious time this weekend running arround picking up the things i need and such. I can take monday or tuesday to do all my packing. oh.... and PAINT MY FRICKIN APARTMENT! stupid realestate angent. (no offence Shawna) I just don't have the time right now. :realmad:

Wow.... today i am in la-la land with all my tangents. Sorry.

Jennifer, you fricking crack me up! Love the part about your Mom giving you the list for naught, and love how you can't hear your friend cuz you're too busy telling yourself to listen. You'll get thru it all, I have no doubt. Hang in there!
