Hey folks. Efavormart is a vendor on e-bay and they have a lot of nice wedding products at resonable prices. Great product quality but everything else is terrible  ; in my case they shipped my wedding goods to the wrong person/address/country (BUT they got the phone number right) . The package arrived 2 weeks after my wedding , and it had been shipped other than instructed (surface mail vs airmail). I left negative feed-back on their e-bay and they replied with lies in order to pull the wool over your eyes -- their potential customers! They also left negative feed-back on my e-bay, 100% lies. I have proof that I'll gladly share with you if you are interested  . If you do buy from them, allow yourselves at least double the time advertised :!: and takes their promisses with a grain of salt :!: . Once again, keep your eyes wide open  as these people ruined my wedding! :!:

Hi! I purchased hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from "efavormart" for my cousin's wedding....and working with them was a disaster!! They lied about the weight of my package and charged me double....plus I paid for air shipping (2-3 days) and the package came 11 days later...and it was too late to use many of the items for the wedding! Then, I couldn't even file a claim with the USPS because the seller didn't pruchase insurance on the package....which I requested, and they charged me for! Then I learned that they used the WRONG label, which was why my package came late. They won't even respond to my questions, nor will they cooperate. They refuse to accept responsibility for any of their mistakes, and they claim they decided to purchase insurance through a "private insurer" but refuse to give me their contact info or provide proof!!! What a disaster. I wish I purchased from another seller! I refuse to let them get away with ripping me off, so now I'm left with the hassle of reporting them to fraud agencies, credit card co, ebay security, etc.! Too bad I didn't read your posted message sooner! Thanks anyway!!

 I am very sorry to hear that Efavormart is still up to such things... At the time of my wedding I informed the Better Business Bureau, who started an investigation. In my experience, Efavormart refused to communicate with me and lied about numerous things, so the BBB investigation didn't go very far; but now Efavormart has a big question mark on their record at the BBB. I would recommend that you contact the BBB with your case.

Also, contact Ebay and inform them of this. That didn't take me very far either, but at least it drew some attention to the funky business that Efavormart is in.

I can tell you that if you leave negative feedback for Efavormart they will leave you negative feedback, and tell nothing but lies, accusing you of ruining their reputation. So if you want to go down that path, be prepared. I tried to resolve the conflict directly with this vendor, but they said we should pay a mediator. When we did, they told the mediator their "version of the truth", so the only thing that they agreed to was to take back the negative feedback they left for me (provided I took back the negative feedback I left them).

I think the best thing would be to involve the Police. I reside outside the US and I am not a US citizen, so I am in no position to contact local authorities. But if you are in the US, you could try talking to a Police officer or a lawyer.

Efavormart didn't just ruin shopping experiences, they ruined peoples' weddings - a once-in-a-life-time event! That is a terrible, terrible thing to do. Who wants to put their wedding in these people's hands? They refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes, which reveals a lot about their character.

Good luck with everything and let me know if you need anything.

Hello Fellow Friend, :D
Thank you so much for the encouragement and advice! :) Nice to know I'm not going crazy thinking it's only happening to me....although I'm sorry that someone else too had to go through a similar experience. :(

Currently, I am going through the MEDIATOR process....and as with you, am getting nowhere, as they continue to tell their LIES yet to another person. :(

I will take your advice and notify the BBB, and look into what I can do to report their conduct to ebay. Notifying the police does seem like a good idea....although I wish I was in California...might be a little easier!

I'll keep you posted with what happens! As you said before, they absolutely do NOT take responsibility for any of their mistakes or lies, and I'm already at the point where I'm not even looking for a refund or compensation....but just an explanation....and they won't even give me that! (VERY FRUSTRATING!) :x

Thanks also for giving me a heads up on your negative feedback experience with them. I also checked out their responses to others negative feedback, and they reply with insults and rude remarks like calling buyers "stupid", and "having no common sense". Hmmm, that really upsets me, and I feel like I can't let them continue to conduct business any way they feel and get away with mistreating others. I'm still not certain about what I plan to do regarding negative feedback, but I'm leaning towards LEAVING NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for your concern and support...and I'll keep you posted with my progress....if any!

Take Care,

Thank you for keeping me up to date. I am sorry to hear that eFavormart still didn't wise up. Yes, I think you should involve authorities.
Try:
- the BBB at http://www.bbb.com/
- try the police (you could just write an email to your local police station, tell them what this is about, and ask for their advice) at
- try the international Web police at http://www.web-police.org/
- try the Scam & Fraud alert at http://capt.clint.home.mindspring.com/shopping.html#scam
- try eBay Feedback Forum at http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/feedback.html
- try Ebay Security at http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/law_enforcement.html

I wish you the best of luck  and once again, please let me know if you need anything.

Hello again Friend!
Sent a message earlier, but noticed it didn't post...so thought I'd write again!

Just wanted to say thanks again for all your help and advice! As you mentioned earlier, mediation was pretty much useless. When the mediator asked EFAVORMART to answer questions I had about discrepancies...they completely avoided every question and made these "deadend" statements like "buy recv'd items...nothing more to say" etc., etc. As you can imagine...just very frustrating. So I started looking into other ways of reporting their conduct...but its kind of hard being so far away from CA. I know you relate

So I finaly left my negative feedback with a note for all who were interested to email me through ebay and I would forward them all the correspondence I saved between myself and efavormart. I received quite a few responses of others who have also experienced similar situation as we have, as well as other interested buyers. They were relieved to hear beforehand what I had to go through, and many appreciated the warning. Well, that's about it....I'm just gonna leave it at that for now!

But thanks again for all your support and help! You are greatly appreciated!!!

Take Care,
Christina

I usually have very good results with eBay vendors. However, I've had 3 bad experiences. One of my greatest issues with eBay is that they permit vendors to retaliate with negative feedback when the buyer posts negative feedback for a legitimate complaint. This is against the eBay rules, but they refuse to enforce that rule. Sellers are only supposed to leave feedback based upon the buyer's payment. Prompt payment always merits positive feedback. But, instead, unscrupulous sellers withhold that feedback in case they need to retaliate for a buyer telling the truth about their unethical sales procedures.

One seller used bogus titles, sold junk instead of the collectibles he advertised, and always gave retaliatory feedback. However, a strongly worded complaint to eBay, detailing every rule this seller broke, with supportive info, caused that seller to be SUSPENDED by eBay!!!!!

You have to read through eBay's rules and see which ones that the seller broke, and reference each one of them with supporting information. This should get the seller suspended. How will you know? When you check back and see the seller no longer has any items listed on eBay, then you know eBay finally took action against the offender.

Filing a complaint with the police is not very effective .. jurisdiction problems. You would have to go to the local police where the seller lives. If you try to sue them in their own town, they'll just get continuance after continuance to wear you out from traveling to fight them in court.

It really is necessary to thoroughly research the feedback record of any seller on eBay, and see if they retaliate for negative feedback. Don't do business with anyone who does not have at least 98% positive feedback, or if they retaliate with negative feedback when someone posts negative feedback to them.

Also, purchase with PayPal and purchase their satisfaction guarantee .. its a no hassle way to get your money back. ... if the PayPal guarantee isn't available for the item, the vendor is probably ripping people off and PayPal refuses to guarantee their items any longer.

For the most part, though, my experiences on eBay have been very positive.

I sell hand made, personalized wedding favors on ebay and have great feedback, but efavormart tries to sell the same things at a cut rate, so I am glad to hear that they are not that great to customers, and not just competitors. I am sorry to hear these stories, though!
