Matt and I got word through work that one of our coworkers had a dog show up on her front door, and if no one took him by tomorrow, he was going to the SPCA (she's got kids and 2 dogs of her own).

So Matt and I told her on Friday that if no one took him we'd take him. Well everyone else flaked and we endedup with him! We debated over names like Scooby, Shaggy, Happy (he's always smiling!), Camo, Muffin, and Jager (for Jagermeister). Finally Matt came up with a compromise. He said Muffin sounded too girly, so we'd call him Biscuit... and Sierra LOVES the Biscuit the dog children's books.

We got him camo colored leash and collar and we're going back for a harness if he works out. He nipped at me a few times already, but I've also bathed him, brushed him, dried him, and taken out a bunch of stickers from his coat. Matt says if he bites at Sierra then he'll be going to another home.

*fingers crossed that he keeps his good behavior*. He's pure blood Lhaso Apso, well trimmed and he's even trained! He knows 'come', 'stay', 'no'... and we're using a name he's not familiar with. It's pretty cool.

Thanks ya'll :) Any idea what you feed a Lhaso? He doesn't seem to be eating at all... we are feeding him dry food.. and Matt didn't want to mess him up by giving him wet food....????

I have a ###### which is very closely related to an apso and he is the absolutely pickiest eater. We have tried anything and everything with him. We finally settled on a dry puppy food, smaller bites even though he is not a puppy anymore, he runs at least a mile a day and the extra nutrients don't seem to hurt him.

There are times he wont eat for a day or two, but he gets hungry enough and he starts munching away.

I love his underbite!!!

I am not sure what that particular type of do geats, but I know that sometimes when a dog is in a new environment or under a lot of stress they will not eat. Just keep it out for him and when he is ready he will eat. he is small, so a puppy brand of food may help as well.

He is too darn cute!

Thanks, the food we have is the size of his eyeball - that cheap stuff from Target. We'll have to try some better stuff. After his run this morning he was hounding me while I was making Matt's breakfast and he wouldn't eat his own food.... Matt wet it a little bit so that he can eat it a lil soggy. We'll see this afternoon when we get home.... Thanks all!
