OK .... OW gals convention/gathering/pool party at my place next summer. I will only have 1 guest bedroom but there is a full basement and plenty of room in my backyard for tents :)

Mitch, will you be able to make it too?

LOL how about the end of July so it coincides with the Jazz festival or the beginning of August so that it coincides with the Comedy festival.

Can you imagine what the neighbours would think if I had a full campground going on in the backyard? :rofl: My nephew (a rather "hairy" guy) has already threatened to come over and put on a speedo and my brother wants to turn the pool temp up so that we can cook the potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner.

Ok I have another idea .... I believe we should all get into our wedding dresses for a mass photo shoot. Those of you that want to trash your dress can go frolicking in the woods behind our place :rofl:

OMG, that would be an awesome idea, Elizabeth! It would give me an excuse to visit home, too. :)

Ok, was just thinking... I'm gonna have to be crafty in order to be able to pull off two weeks off for my wedding in March... another two for our family reunion in Ontario in July/Aug (dates not decided yet!), and an extra day for my friend's wedding at the end of August... and then a few days to go to Mtl for the GTG!!! :rofl:

:rofl: Ummm the newlywed 20 hit me with a VENGANCE!!!!!! I honestly don't think my dress would zip anymore :( Really not funny cause it's only been two years, but Oh well...LOL... I'd still try!!! LOL...even if I was half naked doing so..LMAO

I am lucky ... my dress still has a bit of "growing room" :)

Is there snow on the ground in August? Cause RC is emphatic that the car will not be driven on dirt roads or snow.

I always remember my Great Aunt Hallie coming down from Manitoba draped in a full length sable coat cause she was cold. She would stay cold till about the week before they were headed back up for the summer.:D

You aren't serious are you? LOL ... no hun there is no snow to be found anywhere, in August and we do have a heater on the pool if it's necessary. That being said, our temp is cooler than normal right now :( -

Nope, but when I was a kid after listening to the "snow" strories I thought it was like living on the North Pole. The most famous one was the winter they didn't dig enough graves and had to "put the extras on ice till the thaw"

It was nicer this weekend though right? I was just over the border at my parents this past weekend and it was 86 and beautiful.

I think they use back hoes now or keep em in the cooler (ewwwww) :)

No igloos here or snow from ohhhhh May until November or so (that's when I have my summer tires on).

Our hottest months are June, July and August with July being the month with the most heat waves.

I just saw this today, but omg this is a great idea!!! My goal with my wedding dress after the big day is to do lots of photography in it. Not trash it, but just wear it in all sorts of setup scenes, hehe.

Lol, that would be awesome!! Like, photo in dress at beach, in a museum, in random parks, in yoga class... hahaha! Sorry, probably not what you would do, but definitely what I would do! :rofl: Still, you could potentially end up with a very awesome photo collection!!

Well... after my wedding if I were to do this, I could very easily get a shot of me in my dress doing pilates.. would that count? At work we go group pilates sessions, so it would be easy. Yoga though.. I would have to join a class first. I have plenty of time, so maybe one day :winktongue:
