So, FH and I are starting a honeymoon registry tonight (going to do this tonight). But, for the more traditional guest, we are starting a “regular” registry at Home Outfitters (going to do this tomorrow). How many items do you suggest putting on the “regular” registry, so that people have a good selection, but not so much that people think we want a lot of stuff that they should buy off that one. KWIM? In all honesty, we have all the “stuff” we need, and without the honeymoon registry, we may not be able to afford to take a honeymoon. So, we would prefer that people contribute to the honeymoon registry.
Ok, I am babbling now. LOL. So, how many items would you put on the “regular” registry?

We did something similar. We did a honeymoon registry and then also registered at Bed Bath and Beyond. We didn't base it on how many items though. We registered for the stuff that we wanted/needed. I guess I figure if there aren't enough items, then they can get us a gift certificate or do the honeymoon registry. I wish I could tell you how it turned out, but we aren't getting married until November

It really depends on the people who are invited to your wedding. Some will just give you cash registry or not. Some will only work off of registry and will be upset when nothing is left on the registry. Some will love the honeymoon registry. You have to look at who these people are. Grandma ages usually go for registry. Middle agers tend to do any of these and youngens tend to do registry or honeymoon registry. Im a bridal consultant at bed bath and beyond and we see all kinds shopping off the registry. This is honestly not an easy question to answer (BB&B would say 2-3 items per person no matter where you register but between you and me.....just keep and eye on your registries and you can estimate how much you need to add. You don't have to do all of it at once. Start with what you need/ would like to upgrade and if the list starts shrinking than you know to add more items.)

Thanks ladies!
What I think I'll do, is just go with things that we want to upgrade, I guess. If that's not enough, I'm sure we'll find more things to add.
