Hi!

I want my bridesmaids to have white bouquets with blue accents and my bouquet to be more colorful. What color flowers look good with the pool or tiffany blue color? I don't really want pink flowers.

My wedding is in early June.

Thanks!
Christina

Id make make their bouquets mostly white with a lil bit of blue.. Then for yours... I do white and blue. But more blue than your BM's

To bad you cant do white roses.. and somehow make stephanosis flowers a tiffany blue.. That would be cute.. not to mention impossible.. I think.. lol..

II don't know what other color you could add.. to make it colorful. Maybe a lil greenery will add just a touch of color but not over powering the white and blue.

Hydrangeas would be beautiful! I had white ones in my bouquet, and loved how full they made it look!http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/images/Hydrangea-Endless-Summer-large-63142.jpg

Wrap Up A Tiffany Blue Wedding Theme
When singer Toni Braxton married a few years ago, her wedding cake was a delightfully decorated stack of 'gift boxes' iced in Tiffany's trademark robin's egg blue and 'wrapped' with icing ribbons. It was only one part of a well-executed and beautiful Tiffany blue wedding theme.

In addition to the Tiffany gift box wedding cake, other touches of Tiffany blue in the wedding included special dyed-to-match tablecloths, chair covers and carpeting. But creating a blue Tiffany theme wedding doesn't need to involve custom dyeing. There are many ways to bring the color and theme into your wedding plans.

Tiffany has been the hallmark of elegance and luxury for decades, and you can bring that elegance to your wedding day. Start with the invitations. Add a dash of Tiffany blue to some of the more modern invitation styles with edgings or ribbons in the pretty robin's egg blue.

A particularly fresh idea is a ribbon wrapped petal design for the invitation. To recreate it yourself, start with a perfect square of high-quality linen paper. Place the invitation in the center of the paper diagonally. Fold each of the four corners in over the invitation card so that they meet at the center. Wrap it with a Tiffany blue satin ribbon, knotting just at the point where the four corners meet, and arranging the ends flat against the paper. Seal it with an embossed silver foil sticker. Slip the entire assembled invitation into the outer envelope and address.

Choose wedding flowers for bouquets and centerpieces in creamy pale whites and pinks that will be the perfect counterpoint for blue and silver ribbons. Whether you choose a frilly nosegay with trailing ribbons or carry a single calla lily with a wide satin bow, soft baby colors are the perfect foil for the bright robin's egg blue.

The most popular Tiffany blue themes match the clear color with baby colors and pretty pastels, but there are quite a few other choices. Here are some other color ideas that will go well with a Tiffany blue wedding:

For a more dramatic, striking decor, match up the Tiffany blue with shiny black and silver. Go with a formal theme for this - pure elegance with sleek centerpieces. Skip the flowers and float balloons at each table - black, white and Tiffany blue.

Deep, rich jewel tones are a wonderful accent to the bright sky blue of Tiffany boxes. Try a shimmering satin in burgundy, or a rich, deep emerald.

For a more lighthearted look, choose jellybean green and white to set off the aqua. Play it out with favors of Lucite gift boxes filled with JellyBelly jellybeans in honeydew and berry, all wrapped up with a Tiffany blue satin bow.

Create a backdrop for white flowers and blue ribbons with chocolate brown tablecloths. Fill Tiffany blue round bandboxes with chocolates, and top with tulle-wrapped Jordan almonds in blue and white.

With a little ingenuity, you can wrap up a blue Tiffany theme wedding with elegance and style befitting royalty.

Thank you all for all those links, ideas, and photos! :D

I love the blue hydrangeas, but if I went with them I would definitely have to have a professional put the bouquet together as I have no idea how to work with them. I assembled a bouquet of a dozen roses no problem. I noticed my grocery store has been carrying royal blue roses. I wonder if they can do aqua.

Do any other flowers come in aqua or light blue besides hydrangeas, just to get an idea of what all my options are?

Thanks! :D

Pretty much any pastel color will compliement the blue. For flowers I'd probably go with white and ivory colors with the blue accents. There are flowers that come in blue, but I don't know of any that some in the that "tiffany" or pool color blue though.

Blue Wedding Flowers

Blue wedding flowers are a popular choice for brides. We've done several wedding where we've successfully used a combination of blue and white flowers. You could also combine blue and orange flowers. These are complementary colors so the have a natural affinity for each other.
Our Favorite Blue Wedding Flowers

Hyacinths are a beautiful flower that also has the advantage of being fragrant. Stems of hyacinths can be arranged into a bouquet as in the example that I made in the photo below left. Alternatively, the small blue flowers can be individually removed and incorporated into a bouquet. They are also suited to being made into flower tiaras.

One of the largest blue wedding flowers is hydrangea (above photo on the right). This is a lovely flower for the bride wanting to make a statement with her bouquet. The individual flowers can be trimmed down to produce boutonnieres, and flowers for the flower girls.
Delphiniums bring a wonderful touch of color to weddings. They are available in sky blue right through to rich dark blue varieties. Their height makes them particularly good for tall table center arrangements, and for ceremony arrangement pedestal stands.
They can also be cut to make smaller arrangements and bouquets. The bridal bouquet in the photo below features dark blue delphiniums in a collar around white roses.

The blue, verging on violet, colored Veronica provides a lovely addition to bouquets. Its habit of curling gives a sense of movement and freedom to the arrangement, rather than it being too regimented.
Statice is another flower that verges on violet. It is often used as a 'filler' flower and looks great in a simple bouquet with white roses and green foliage.
Sea Holly and thistle are other plants that are often used as fillers. But they do have a beauty all of their own. Great results can be obtained from using thistle as a wedding boutonniere (buttonhole). This may especially suit the groom who does not like 'flowery' accessories or the patriotic groom from Scotland.
It's Time to Get Creative

Some of the classic wedding flowers are not available in blue. These include calla lilies, tulips, gerberas, orchids, carnations, gladioli, anthuriums and roses. You can get artificially dyed roses from specialist suppliers. These are white roses that have been grown in a blue dye. But some people think that their vibrant color just doesn't look right.
You can get around this problem by the creative use of accessories such as blue ribbons and organza. You can also complement your blue wedding flowers with white varieties such as roses and calla lilies to give a more traditional feel.

Wow! You are a wealth of information! I have seen dyed blue roses at my grocery store so I'm considering that, but not sure yet. I also love blue irises. I'm going to a florist on 6/30 to see what sort of designs they come up with.

I wanted to do all the flowers myslef in silk, except for boutonierres and corsages, but I don't think I'm skilled enough to break apart hydrangeas or hyacynths. I don't really like them in their full form because I think it makes the bouquet look to bulky, but pared down they are gorgeous as fillers between roses.

I like the bouquet with the irises as well as the cream rose one below it. Half the links you posted disappeared, but I though I saw a bouquet somewhere or maybe I'm imagining it that was white roses with some pink and some chartruese and blue fillers.

Thanks!

Well I think I have at least 10 bouquet photos that I can bring to the florist next Saturday. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks again for all your help! :D

Now we'll see if I end up ordering mine or making it myself. I made bouquets for my bridesmaids and I think they turned out well.

I do love that last pic except I would have to remove the calla lilies. I don't really care for them.

I'll try to start a blog or something to show what I've been up to so far.

Thanks!

My cousin used those same colors in her wedding a couple of years ago. The BM dresses were the Tiffany/Pool color. They carried a small bunch of blue hydrangea. Then The brides bouquet was bigger and she had blue and white hydrangea like the pic below but she had white calla lillies mixed in. And it looked really good!

I have pictures from her wedding but they are on the computer at my moms house. So I will try to get a few this weekend to post on here.
