I loved this blog! It's written by a Seattle chef/caterer/restaurant owner who has to deal with a lot of crazy brides! I linked you to the section entitled "tricks," which is the wedding section, but there are also a lot of funny customer stories elsewhere, and a few recipes!

Enjoy!

Oh my goodness, I hate you. I just killed like 20 very precious minutes of what was supposed to be a really productive day...and I am determined to make it through the archives. :snide:

I freaking love this! I have to say my favorite so far is "potty mouth", but I've just been going down the list.

Ok, new favorite- the Bridezilla trilogy. And with that, I need to quit reading this, smoke and do my yoga. Thanks for the almost hour of amusement Rose!

This blog -- well, the stories the FW shares -- encompasses ALL the reasons why Fiance and I aren't going anywhere NEAR catering our wedding. Not with a ten foot pole. Not if people PAID us to have catered food. No.
It's going to be a potluck buffet, serve-yourself kind of a thing, which will open as soon as we are announced and STAY open the rest of the night. No nonsense about which table to serve first, no silliness about 'when will the food be ready?' no tearing my hair out over salmon vs chicken vs beef . . . .
The food will be plentiful, amazingly good, and have enough variation so that EVERYBODY will find *something* they want to eat. Because if they're so worried about that, they can bring their favorite food themselves.
Dangit.

OMG!!! Thanks so much for this Rosie! I have just spent the last hour reading this blog instead of doing my work! Since we have a new Dean and new Executive Assistant that is a former Marine, my favorite one is Ma'am, Yes Ma'am because it is soooooooo the environment I'm in now! All of her writing is awesome!

Oh man, my condolences. I had an ex-military P.E. teacher once who made grown men cry practically every day. He wasn't any nicer to the ladies, either. :snide:
I liked the comment to this entry:
"Early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable."
I wonder how she became a wedding planner?
