The first pictures are from Chad's surprise dinner at Canyon Cafe. Let me tell you, he was shocked! For a little while, I thought that he might be mad at me for surprising him, but later he told me that he was just really overwhelmed and taken back by it all. He appreciated it a lot and I'm so glad that I did it.

This is Chad's bday cuppy that I made him. It was chocolate/vanilla swirl with a vanilla buttercream. Kinda boring, but they were delish.

Now we're at Rudyard's. It's a pub within walking distance from our apartment. It worked out so perfectly because one of our fav local bands was playing the night of his birthday. It couldn't have been better!

Catching a late night veggie dog w/ sauerkraut! We allow ourselves one a week. LOL. When I talk about eating a veggie dog it's always at this little stand that we walk to. It's always entertaining there at night.

Fun in the car. We didn't walk to the stand because it was almost 3 a.m. and we had to catch them before they close!

Those pictures are worth a thousand words looks like a good time was had by all! Glad he enjoyed it and kudos on all the unplanned extra fun stuff that got to happen along the way(ie veggie dog, fav local band, etc.)

Yep, Rudyard's is about 1/3 of a mile away! It's very tempting to go there and hang out like every night of the week!

Haha...we have a bar just outside the entrance to our neighborhood. It would take us less than 5 minutes to walk there. Unfortunately, it's what you might call a "stinky bar." Nothing all that great to drink, kind of weird people...and it's smells like an ashtray. :bbcry:

Well, the other day we walked into Rudyard's and it smelled like stinky cheese aka parmesan! Hah. :D There was a big group that had just ordered a ton of food.
