Alright, so a bit of the background story....
On our 1st anniversary, Chris and I came up with the idea of getting tattoos together. We wanted something we could both get, that would maybe have some similar elements, but not be "matching," but rather just something we both really loved and that complimented each other. No names, no dates, no hearts with banners across them.... Well, that was three years ago; we've drawn up and put together countless designs, but nothing we were both truly happy.
We finally decided upon a theme, and went last night to get them done. On a friend's, we went to the guy that does all of his (and his wife's) work - We met with him Tuesday, went over what we wanted and set an appointment for last night. (we have another tattoo artist we go to, but his specialty is more Japanese art, where this guy is really amazing with linework and gray/black work).
Mine was also a cover-up -- my very first tattoo, more than 10 years ago, was a tiny little yellow daisy on my left ankle. I've been wanting to get it reworked for years, and this was the perfect opportunity.
So here's just a few pics (before, during and after) from the other night....
FH, awaiting his turn....

After, coming down from the endorphine buzz

And the finished product *drool*
