I am so very sad this morning.

My sister and her kids are moving to Utah tomorrow. Nini (Nikki) and I were inseperable as kids, she was my best friend for years. We spent 10 years living in different states, and were only able to see eachother three or four times during that period. We grew apart a great deal, and our relationship has been rocky over the past three years. That was when I moved back from Cali. I guess we both had to adjust to the changes eachother made since we 'grew up'. We are doing so well now. We have spent nearly every day over the past month together. I have gotten closer to my six year old niece, and have absolutely fallen in love with my 7 month (twin) niece and nephew. I hate that they are moving. I most likely won't be able to see them again until the wedding in Nov.

I am going to miss them so much. I already do.

I am really sorry to hear that, Heather. I'm sure you will miss her. My sister lives in Seattle and I hardly ever see her. I hate that. But, you know, Utah isn't so bad... :bblol: What part is she moving to?

She will be living in either Roy or Ogden.

Its hard to let go but if this move is going to help her provide better for her children, you kinda have to. I didnt like it when my sister moved to Louisiana. I only got to see her maybe twice a year (summer and Christmas). Its hard but it does get a little easier to handle after a while. I always hurt so bad after she leaves to go back home after a visit.
Hang in there girl!

I'm so sorry, Heather, that is really sad especially since you guys have come together recently. Well, Utah will be a nice place to visit. Who knows, maybe you and Josh will move closer to her when you guys get your next assignment.

This is the thing that sucks about growing up! Moving away! Believe me I understand all too well how you are feeling at this point, I have moved seven different times!! And this has meant leaving my family behind on the fifth move. I never see them either, and I was REALLY close with them! It sucks because now I have no relationship with my mom, my dad and my brother. They treat me as "YOU moved, so its YOUR problem!! YOU can drive the four and half hours to come visit us!!"

I'm sorry your sister is moving, but the wonderful thing is that you can call her every day if you need to and you can email her as well.(if she has a computer!) Unfortunately I can't email my mom because she is stuck in the stone age and doesn't own a computer that was built post 2001. (her computer is from 1998 and she thinks she can go interweb with it!! I really don't think so mom! lol)

I'm so sorry Heather. My brother lived at Fort Campbell for a year or so. It's hard I know.

I thought about that, but J doesn't want to go to Utah, if he gets orders, he wants to go overseas, providing we get custody of the kids that is!!!!

I am sorry to hear about this Heather. I live 7 hrs from my om and my sister. We are only close when I go hoem for a visit. They almsot never come down here. My mom would if she had a car. My sister is talking about coming down some time this summer. The big thing that has kept us in touch is this computer. My mom actualy watched Easter Morning one year onver our web cam. The kids love seeing their cousins on the web cam also. We dont do it so much now but we used to do it alot. I have the plan where all long distance is paid for by payingone set price a month. If I didnt my bill would be through the roof. I call all the time or my mom calls here. Good luck. THigns will work out I am sure.

I am sorry Heather, I know I would miss my sister if we/she moved away, she and I are the closest in my family. But it just gives you a reason to visit ;) It is hard now but like Cindy said, it gets better in time.

As adults we all grow and change and sometimes people move. I have friends in Florida and Alabama and they used to live near me. We still keep in touch, mostly on the phone and emails.

Best wishes!
