This one was played at a friends shower. As the couple opens gifts and talks with the guest over the gifts. Someone writes down just what the bride and groom say leaving out anything that anyone else says. Then when the gifts are all open, the person writing tells the crowd what they we doing and the list is of the conversation the bride and groom will have on their first night of husband and wife. Examples of what my friends was:
Wow....thats a big one!
Maybe we should wait for Beth.
Did you ever get that fixed?
How do you work this thing?
It had our group rolling with laughter.

That does sound like a cute idea that would be really funny. I'm not sure yet, but I think we'll just be having a bridal shower, so we woudn't be able to use it. :(

That is a really cute idea! If someone decides to throw me a shower, I'll put a bug in their ear to try it.

Haha, we were in a wedding a few years ago where they did that at the "jack and jill" shower.. It was HILARIOUS to hear all of the things they said in a different context. I think it livens up the party nicely :)

That's awesome! It reminds me of the Whose Line skit where they have the audience members each write down just one phrase. Then the comedians put them in their pockets and have a conversation in some defined setting in which they will reach for the phrases and just read them aloud as their next response.

Ah I love this show so much.

I'm so glad you mentioned this we were at a lost for a second game to play at my sisters shower this October. We'd already decided on the "toilet paper bride" where you make an brides ensemble out of TP and the bride votes as to which teams is the best. So this will be something we can do that doesn't require to much effort. And I thought (they did this at my cousins baby shower but thought it might work well for the bridal shower) who's ever birthdate is closest to the wedding date (at my cousins it was b-day closest to the babys expectant arrival date) gets a prize at the end of the evening.
Probably some stationary sets or something?
Thanks again for the idea.
