Interview!!!

This has to be in blue cause it's my favourite colour and i am ooooh so super exsited right now!

I have an interview! A second interview to be more specific! I met with a company called SNAP Newmarket late last fall. It never panned out because they needed someone full time at that point. Then last week they e-mailed me wondering if i was still interested or not. I told them i was, and now i have an interview tommorrow morning! I am soooo exsited!

I'm madly working on getting my portfolio up to date. And wondering what the heck i am supposed to wear. LOL! I want to be funky but not tooo funky. Last time i wore black dress pants and a black dress shirt and i felt way over dressed. Plus tommorrow its supposed to be hot again so i don't wana be over heating cause my face always gets really flushed when i'm warm. :bbredface:

Anyways Thats my super exsiting news that i wanted to share!!!

It is a community newspaper so i would be doing layouts for the paper, colour correction for images, ad layouts. I don't know for sure. I guess i will find out more if i get the position.
I got my portfolio together. Took me most of the night. Hopefully it will be good. They liked my work the first time arround. There is some more even better stuff now. I think.

Ohhh i hope it goes well! I'm feeling a bit nervous already!

So heres the update!

It went well! We had a really great chat, because i have already met with them once some of the typical stuff wasn't talked about. But we talked about challenges of working in a team environment and i explained some of the challenges i've faced with that. How i deal with stress and crazy crazy work schedules. Am i ok with working outside the 9-5 cause at the end of the month before they go to press its craziness and sometimes people are working till 10 at night. But, the hours are really flexible. You can come in later in the morning or leave a little early as long as your get your work done at the end of the day.
We talked about pay, they start closer to the higher end of Junior Designer pay so that's pretty cool. They told me they are hopefully going to be getting benifts soon, they gave me a whole tour introduced me to everyone on staff. It was great!

I am feeling really good about it. They said they needed to talk but they would most likely be having me back for a second interview which would be a practical test to make sure i actually could use the software and do the work. They said they knew i could, but its proticall they need to follow. So hopefully i will hear from them at the beginning of next week. They said the practical would be in the begining of May and they are looking to have someone start the middle of May.

I told them about the wedding. They asked if i had any big trips planned so i told them then and said i would need a couple days arround the wedding. So hopefully that will be ok and hasn't affected their thoughts on hiring me. I am exsited, but at the same tim thinking.... ok. If i don't get this job its not the end of the world yet. I still have time to look for others and i will probaly still send out my resume over the next week or two while i wait on this.

So heres the update!
I got an e-mail today asking if i would come in for a second interview which would be a practical. Basically confirm that i can do what i say i can with photoshop, illustrator, and quark xpress. They said at the last interview they felt i could, its just proceedure and that they would give me all the elements of an ad that needed to be built and i had to put it together. That should go pretty well. I just want to review linescreen and such for newsprint. All the technical bits and peices.
They said any time next week would be good, next Monday at 10am is what i told them i should hear back tommorrow to confirm that time. I am really pleased about this. I have a good feeling. But i am scared to get tooo exsited because i really don't want to have my heart broken if i don't get hired.
