Hi everybody!!
I'm just looking for some input on my super cool favor idea! I found these cute coffee favors on a wedding favor website...but they are SOOO expensive! I'm just wondering what ideas others might have as to how I might be able to make these myself.

I have been searching for single pot packages of coffee, but the packaging is so ugly, and I don't want to sacrifice my color scheme. So I was thinking of just getting my own packaging and then just buying my own flavored coffee and measuring it out. I"m not sure how to make this happen, but I love the idea...any thoughts??

I don't know if it's possible but .... if I was trying to do this, I would see if I could find those foil looking "plasticy" bags or clear cellophane bags + one kitchen vacuum bag sealer + DIY labels.
I picked up a vacuum sealer at a garage sale for $3. It seals just about anything!
Or .... specialty coffee also comes in little stand up paper bags with a waxy inner lining and the bags come in different colours.

That's a pretty cool idea! Otherwise you could get little paper bags and decorate them, if you want really simple. I'm probably going to do a coffee/tea buffet with dessert, rather than a candy buffet. I plan to have different flavoured coffee, tea and hot chocolates. You could maybe do a self-serve kind of thing...? Get some pretty little bags and let people take some home of the ones they like..? Like self-serve candy favours. Then you just need bags, twists and little scoops.

I know you said you wanted to do them yourself but have you tried looking at other websites? I have seen these all around the net on my searches for wedding stuff....just a thought.

I'm doing the same thing except with hot cocoa favors and stirring spoons dipped in chocolate. They have a lot of the cocoa favors on ebay if you are willing to switch.
I was originally going to do the coffee favors but couldn't find any good prices for them. The cocoa favors look exactly the same except the packaging is white not silver. Or you could just buy the labels and stick them on to the hot cocoa packets your self. You can probably get a bunch of packets at costco.
They also sell the chocolate dipped spoons on ebay and I found some very inexpensive ones on there if you wanted to add that to your favor. they are really cute and come individually wrapped :grinhappy:

How many do you need? I know you probably don't need as many as this site offers (250 bags), but you can get them for $50. They're white, and would be perfect for creating your own custom label and affixing it to the front.

The also have really cute white ones with a clear circle cutout on the front so you could see the coffee/beans. You can get 250 bags for $48.

Ha! That's what I get for not doing more research! I found another one that is cheaper - you can get 100 bags (white, metal top fold like the others) for $14.87 per package. These would look so good with a custom label on the front. Let us know how it turns out when you decide on something!

I found these on *******.com. They are kind of pricey-$18.95 for 12, but you can get them personalized for free.
