Well by now most of you know that I'm a wedding photographer, but I'm also a full time professional blogger. This week, one of the pieces I'm working on is about unique and alternative honeymoon ideas. I've already come up with a lot of great stuff, but I just know you ladies have more to share.
So lay it on me! What did you do, or what are you planning to do? Examples include a tour of America's best roller coasters, ecotourism in Australia, etc. Anything that's really fun and out of the ordinary! And you don't have to limit it to your own personal experience-you can of course include a fantasy honeymoon you wish you could take.

The most out of the ordinary I have heard of was something like Disney World ;)
So what did you come up with so far, please do share :D

Ok, here's a few more...
Camping
"staycation"-where you just stay at home and enjoy your own city
Cross-country skiing
Sailing trip
Artist hometown tour
I'll post a link to the article once it's published. In the end, I'll have 100 different ideas. So far, I have about 25.

What about a ghost hunting honeymoon?? We didn't do this. But we live a couple of hours away from Eurika Springs, Arkansas. They have a hotel, The Cresent Hotel. It has a long history of ghost sightings and unexplained events. But I have heard of a few people going down there and staying for thier honeymoon.

That is awesome. Exactly what I'm looking for.
Here are some ideas we tossed around before we got a beautiful, though very tradtional, honeymoon as a gift -
volunteer vacation (http://www.charityguide.org/volunteer/vacations.htm)
road trip to different festivals (garlic fest, bat fest, hot sauce fest, etc)
a trip to Athens to run in the original marathon
white water rafting and camping along the way
"keeper of the week" at a light house
By the way, we will still do these...one day!!

Keely, you are a girl after my own heart. I finished writing the piece yesterday and had pretty much every single one of these on it. Did you know there's actually a lighthouse hotel out there?

Oops sorry I wasn't quick enough to help ya out with the article!! I'm intrigued by lighthouses. There's just a magical quality about them. A lighthouse hotel would be awesome!
Yes, Tango I looove that website. I actually just looked at other parts of it besides the volunteer vacay part for the first time today and it has a lot of wonderful resources on it.

The lighthouse is in Saugerties, New York on the Hudson River. It looks pretty cool!
