Oh my gosh it was so hot today! It's still April and today I saw my thermometer in the car say 95 degrees! This was in Huntsville!!! If it got to 95 degrees today how hot is it going to be in June and July or the worst month or all August? :bbeek: I absolutely hate the heat! Our humidity is usually in the 90% range to. I am going to melt!!! Let's see, me, Carrie, and Cindy are all from Texas. Am I missing anyone? Hasn't it been hot the last couple of days? It's killing me already!

Sean is heading down to Dallas today. Considering that he was complaining the other night when it was 75 that I didn't allow the AC on, he is in for a LONG conference week.

Maybe I should move to Texas? I love hot weather! I am always cold here in PA. Normally our hottest is 95-100 degrees. Sorry it makes for a long summer for you. How about you just send the heat this way? I'll send you my 75 degrees today in exchange.;)

I would trade either of you for this crappy weather we are having. It snowed yesterday and today isn't supposed to be much warmer than 45.

Send me the nice days! Actually Thursday and Friday and the weekend I think it is going to drop into the 80s and we may finally get some rain! Yeah for rain! Usually our springs here are really wet, but not this year. That is bad because we already are short on hay and without rain we wont get any good cuts.
Lacey...Sean will be in for a very long week if he was complaining about 75 degrees!!! When it is 75 degrees we open the windows and are happy. I wish it could always be 75 degrees. That would be perfect!
This year has been a weird year. We only got a little bit of cold weather, most of our winter was really mild even for Texas. But now it's just plain hot and sticky. And the misquitos are back too!

The humidity is what really hurts. We get to 115 degrees, but it's a dry heat. You just bake instead of boil.

I have to admit this has been a weird year. We did not have half the snow we usualy get this winter. We always have a big snow stomr in April. But this year it has been as high as 75 some days. Then it goes down to 45 and up again But I am used to that up her ein New England. But Nihcolas first winter here and it was nothing. I can just imagine what the summer will be like. At least I will be living in town and can get the kids to the beach more. I love taking them in the evening when the crowds are all gone.

This has definitely been a mild year, which makes me fear the summer. Glad I'm not in Texas now, although when it gets hot up here, we have almost 100% humidity...a 90-degree day here is like a 110-degree day in Texas. That's a killer! Not looking forward to another summer of no air-conditioning. Especially since that means Jason doesn't like me cuddling up against him :(

The weather has been nice here the last few days, well aside from all the pollen, it has been in the mid 70's to mid 80's. Then today it rained all day ... the dog was scared of the thunder ;)

Our humidity down here on the near the coast gets to 100% too.
Cindy did the cold front make it there, because it didn't make it here yet. I thought that I heard it was supposed to rain tomorrow so maybe that is it. Yippee!
Wanda, where in Texas did you live?
I've been to a lot of places and the only places I have been that are as miserable as the heat here is Lousiana and Mississppi (the coastal areas). I haven't been to Alabama so I don't know about it.

My husband was in the Army when I was pregnant with Amber and we were stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, which is right on the state line of Tennessee and Kentucky. That was 100% humidity. Being someone who was raised in Arizona, I had a real hard time adjusting to the humidity in the South. I was so happy to get back to the desert.

Yeah I really like going to places like Arizona and Nevada because of the dry heat. West Texas is like that too and New Mexico. It's hot, but you can stand it. The problem with the humidity is you sweat, but it does not dry because of the moisture in the air. You just get all sticky. In dry climates your sweat does its job and cools you down.

That's so true, Kacie! And the other problem with the humidity is that it just drains you. You have no energy and you feel just awful. The fact that you're sopping wet doesn't help either. We have a monsoon season here in Phoenix and it is pretty wet, but it's short and sweet.

We got up to about 80 today. It is supposed to rain this weekend, when I am starting to move some things to the new place. Go figure!

We should be 93 degrees today here in Phoenix with no rain in sight. I still refuse to turn on the air conditioner. Once I start that, it's over. My monthly electricity bill in the summer has gotten up to $280, and I own a condo! I know Amber's has been even higher than that. That is one of the downfalls about living in the desert. Summers totally suck! :helpsmilie:

Is your wedding and/or reception going to be outside, Cindy? If so, how does the weather forecast look for your wedding day?

Yeah, both are scheduled for outside. I do have a back up plan. I pulled up a site someone had posted from the weather channel and for this area, it has NOT rained on May 13th in the last 3 years. Usually the 1st week of the month and the last are the worst times here for rain. I plan on watching the weather that last week and if it looks like we are going to need to move things indoors, then Ill just go ahead and set it up for indoors.

Its not raining here now, but the skies are still a little dark. My poor flowers are going to drown if it doesnt stop! Now my rose bush on the other hand has just blossomed!

My flower beds don't look so good after the storm we got this morning. This year I made them kind of in a rounded shape instead of just rectangular beside the house. This way it's more of a neat shape and I really like it. However, the house does not protect it as well so the water beat them down this morning. :bbcry: Maybe they'll get to looking better though.
