I have been searching all over for champagne toasting flutes, and have found some that I liked, but they are $50+ each which I do not have the money for. Where are some good places to look for good quality & less expensive flutes?

Thank You!:D

You can get super plain ones for a dollar and spruce them up with ribbon or flowers!

Or you can register for some and maybe someone will get them for you as a shower gift!

Unless you truly care about the ones that are shaped just so for the champagne to hit the perfect part of your mouth (yes really), then glass is glass. I've seen plain ones at the Dollar Tree and agree about decorating your own.

And this might sound totally weird, but ... Goodwill. Almost all my wine glasses and champagne glasses were from there. Heck, I even found a bride & groom toasting set once!

You can visit my site to see if there is anything you would like. But the decorating of your own does seem like a pretty cool original idea as well.

I was just at walmart tonight and they had a set of 4 flutes which were quite plain for like $8 which you could decorate as well.

I have a look on eBay now and then. In my case i was after something with either a Red or Black Stem.

Then when i was going through my Kitchen Cupboard the other night i noticed i have a set of really posh cut glass Champagne Flutes. So to save cost i'm planning on tying some Black Ribbon around the stems and finish with a Bow. I've got some Ribbon left over from My Bouquet. So no extra cost there either.

Or as acidcookie said. Charity Shops do some great deals. Especially when you're not really looking that hard. That's how i came across my Wedding Dress :winktongue:

I have a few cute ones from 99 Cents store. I gotta admit though, that I'm not using those for the wedding, cause I find a set of 2 Handblown crystal flutes with 24 carat gold trim made in Italy in antique shop for $30, and just couldn't resist them.

Dollar Store actually has some cute ones. Otherwise Hobby Lobby has them for I think 9.99, and if you get it at the right time they are half off. Not a bad price in my mind!

I don't know what your price range is, but if you were looking for something to last longer, sometimes Bed Bath and Beyond has clearance deals for discontinued items or Linens and Things. I get a 20% coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond probably once a week. My mom got me two beautiful Lenox flutes for $60.00. I wish I would have given her my coupon :bbconfused:

depends what your looking for in your flite, it u want something special for the two of u (not necessarily 100% wedding flutes) you can find those almost anwhere, World Market usually has a nice selection reasonably priced some of them have colored stems (5-10 a piece range) target walmart michaels all have wedding ones. I just searched targets website and they have sets priced from 20-80 a set. Or if theres a special glass set your partial too you could get the champagne flutes as those and always have a special memory linked with them. An example of this would be the mikasa collections. I have a set of 4 that only cost me 25.
Theres really a lot of options it just depends what you want

Depending on your venue, you don't really need them... Mine provided pretty glasses to use. :D

I actually found some champaign flutes that I am going to order for my favors. I found them on http://www.favorfavor.com/page/FF/PROD/3303s
or another one
http://www.customglassware.com/printed_glasses_390.htm I haven't decided which one I am using yet.
I know you are only looking for toasting glasses, but for anyone wanting to do the same idea as I am, these are cheap and have your names on it or whatever you order! 1.00 plus a piece! I figured I would have almost this much in buying candy in a cute bag for guests.
I agree with everyone else though, the dollar store is great! Hobby Lobby has some half price right now with their bridal sale going on so I got mine for 10.00. They are these two glasses that fit in a vase thingy. Different and fun!
Good Will is another place. I have saw the bride and groom for 1.00 each there too!

We're getting ours from Pier 1 Imports. They're the most unique ones we've found in our area and they're only $9.99 a piece.

If anyone is looking for NICE flutes ~ try Mikasa (www.mikasa.com (http://www.mikasa.com)). They currently have the Caran flutes on CLEARANCE for $6 each!! What a steal. Just do a search for flute. It is the LAST page (page 5) LAST item.

Also, I've decided we are going to register for the Mikasa flutes we want to toast with, next to the china, and I'm sure we'll get them before the wedding... hopefully. If not, we'll buy some of these clearance items they have ~ which are also beautiful!

I made my toasting flutes. I bought a six pack of used champagne flutes at a secondhand shop. I got ribbon and heart charms that say "Love" at Michael's. http://i37.tinypic.com/2417ehz.jpg
