It looks like I am going to be making my invitations myself since I need such an unusual size. I was looking into getting a custom stamp made with the text for the body of the invitation on it, it would let me use colors my inkjet printer cannot do. They don't seems all that expensive and give you a lot of flexibility https://shop.simonstamp.com/Product.aspx?CatalogID=Main+Catalog&CategoryID=CopyOf+20060424204204154+(2007121222401 1476)&ProductID=20071212224020648...it would just be a matter of keeping the stamp straight. I was curious if anyone had tried this out though with positive or negative results.

I haven't tried it, but it seems like it could work. The only problems I forsee with it is the ink smudging from closing the invitations too soon or not centering the stamp/moving the stamp right. I would get a bunch of extra paper/cardstock in case some get messed up.

I thought about doing it, but I ended up ordering mine.

As long as you are careful, I cant think of a reason why it wouldnt work.

Its a hard thing to test out since buying the custom stamp, while not being terribly expensive isn't cheap either. I played around with a big stamp with a lot of text of it from micheals to test it out but its not really the same. Just printing them off would probably be the easiest thing to do and not look all that different.

I had a large, worded stamp that I was going to use for my save-the-date cards. It didn't work out so hot and I ended up printing them on the computer. The stamps don't look as "crisp" in my opinion.

I was thinking about doing that and then embossing it. I think it would be more work then it would be cost effective. But, if you could get it to work, go for it!
