POST DELTED - RE: ...
Since we have had so much trouble with various types of spam lately, we have set a new rule that new members cannot post in the Announcements and Opportunities forum or any of it's sub-forums at all.
Once new members have posted in other areas a while and become a "Trusted member" showing that they want to be a part of the community, they will gain access to post in this forum.
So if any new member is found posting inappropriate topics elsewhere on the board they will be seen as a spammer trying to get around this rule. The posts in question will be removed and the user will be subject to removal from the community.
The original content of this post was a promotion and should have been in the "Great Finds" sub-forum of our Announcements & Opportunities forum. However, new members are blocked from posting there until they are "trusted". This message was put in the place of the original message so that everyone can see and hopefully other new people will be more careful what and where they post.
This goes for everyone that joins here; it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the rules of the community and specific forums before you start posting. Ignorance of the rules is not an acceptable excuse. It is also customary to introduce yourself first before posting; especially when you want to promote something, otherwise you risk being mistaken for a spammer.
If you are new and you want to promote something; it is a good idea to introduce yourself and join in other conversations first. We hope everyone that takes the time to join our community actually wants to be a part of it.
