i found out on the way to the grocery store today that i had a little tag along! i prayed that he didnt get hurt or run over on the way and he didnt, so i pulled over as soon as we were both out of the way of the other drivers and let him go in a nice little flower garden. he was a brave little booger though! just trottin around on my hood! see if you can find him!

If it were me I would have stopped just to get him off the car too! I do that all the time! Just Monday, there was an ant on my windshield, and I wasn't out out of the neighborhood yet and stopped to put him on the grass!!!

Haha! I've had that happen to me, too. There's nothing like trying to coax a poor lizard off your car with a piece of paper while 1) you totally don't want to touch him 2) you are freaking out that he will jump on you 3) all of the other drivers are watching because you're doing it at a stop sign.

haha a similar thing happened to me last Tuesday....it had been raining all day so I went out to get into my truck and when I opened the door there was a little green tree frog on my door jam...I guess he got in through the window( I always leav'em cracked b/c it gets soo hot and I have those window visors to keep the rain out) so I picked him up and put him in my mom's big planter.

this morning on the way to work I saw a turtle crossing the road and just said a little prayer he'd make it ( I was running late or I would've turned around and taken him across the road myself). I always break for critter crossings:grinhappy:

haha! i would have laughed to see that! but i wasnt really worried about him jumping on me. i think they are the cutest things ever and if i could have gotten him to jump in my hand i wouldnt have worried so much! falling off the front of a dodge ram pickup is a big fall for a little lizard!
ok so be honest, who slows down when there are birds in the road??
dh makes fun of me cuz i slow down so they have time to get out of the way (even though they always do even if your going fast)

I don't slow down for birds so much, but squirrels, bunnies, chipmunks, oh yeah. In fact, I have a tendancy to scream and say "OMG RUN!" and throw my hands up in the air when I am driving.

The birds piss me off. Those little jerks wait until the last minute just to scare me.

I have had the little lizard stowaways on my car a few times too. I guess they like the heat of the car being outside.

If I can, I really try to slow down for anything I see in my way.

I agree I slow down for anythign in the road be it reptile, mammals amphibian etc. :) Fh is pretty good about it too!
