An entry on Offbeat Bride (http://offbeatbride.com/) (my fave wedding site) every bride should read:

That was great, and defiantly true. Something I need to keep in mind, stop stressing myself out.

Well, we normally don't like to link to other wedding sites, but I guess this one is different enough ;)
As for the picture there; I would not nessasary call that tacky, but certainly does fit into the "offbeat" category! But that isn't always a bad thing; whatever suits you and makes you happy should be all that matters :)
I love the part in the article that reads ... " “tacky” is in the eye of the beholder and there is always, always going to be someone who sees things differently than you"
Now if you were planning a traditional/formal event and wore that, I'd say that would be tacky ;) But if you are having a fun, laid back and just "you" event, then go all out and make it you :D

No worries; it is a good reminder that we all have different personalities and such and that "“tacky” is in the eye of the beholder"

both sites are awesome, I agree :D
Lol, 'tacky' is one word I won't be allowing in my wedding planning either. There are a couple of friends who may use it, and I will most likely marching them off the plank... :winktongue:

"When it’s ALL tacky, none of it’s tacky and we can finally stop talking about it."
Well, it's about :censored: time! :jphappy:
That aside, some of the weddings with the most love, fun, and happiness have "tacky" elements. Why? Because the bride and groom are happy! I'm glad someone finally said something about this...even though it doesn't apply to this forum as much as it does in other places.
Thank you OW for already creating a "tacky" free environment.

LOL!
Do you know how many people -including my own MOTHER- were having fits because we wanted a beach wedding instead of a church or even a garden wedding?
I finally had to put something up on our wedding site telling people this was NOT going to be a traditional wedding.

Everyone's version of tacky is different.
