NICE!!!!! I just have a hard time getting the time to excercize as much as I should, so I thought that if I could find something that will 'help' me along the way, I may as well try it. Worth a shot, I guess.

I know theres a lot of stuff out there about how bad they can hurt you and stuff, but those people dont take it the way they are supposed to...... Ive always taking them "as directed" and never had a problem with anything.

I took Hydroxycut for a couple of months a few years ago. It gave me the shakes pretty bad (like I had drank lots of coffee or something) so I had to stop.

My Dr says not to take that kind of thing. She did say I could try that new vitamin 'One a Day Weight Smart' along with diet and exercise. Just started that ... trying to exercise more and eat better.

These allergies have me not wanting to do much of anything lately, but I am going back to the Dr about that next week.

That makes sense too, I just don't have time to excercise, and am thinking of shortcuts!!!haha.

Hope you are feeling better soon!! Allergies are the pits!!

Good luck with that ... I wish there was a 'magic' pill ;)

I tried the low carb thing for a while and that worked well, I just couldn't stick with it ... I love pasta and bread too much ;)

I tried it once too. I lost the weight, but I couldn't keep it up. Stopped the diet and put most of it back on. I have been doing the cabbage soup diet this week. And I'll tell you, I'm about tired of cabbage. Not doing much for me either.

Why not cut out sugars and the white stuff. You're body doesen't need alot of sugar so try not to add any sugar to your food and have more veggies (but not carrots cause they are full of sugar) and less fruit. There is also alot of sugar in white breads.
I've got a few friends who have cut out pop and sugary juices and drank alot more water and have seen a huge difference.
I just worry so much about taking a suppliment to help you loose weight. Please be careful!

I've tried the Adkins diet before. I bought the book and everything. I dropped pounds fast. In a probably 3 weeks I had dropped 10lbs. I was miserable though. I only lasted a month and a half on the diet. I love carbs!!! I can't take any diet pills. They make me feel all shakey and restless. I don't like them.

Ok, I've heard of a couple of different diets that are a little safer than diet pills, but some of them are a bit more costly too...depending.

One is, if you can stand grapefruit, eat a half of a grapefruit before every meal. It has a natural antioxident in it that helps break down complex fats so that they're easier for your body to digest and get rid of.

Another is green tea; which they now have a concentrated pill for. I'm not sure how this one works but it sounds interesting.

I'm not so upset about my weight, partially because the dress has boning in the corset top and I look reasonably skinny it. I don't like my arms! I've got that old lady flabby thing going on! I don't know what to do about them either. :(

Green tea. I could do that. If I had the time exercise would be really what I need. I'm not overweight. I am 5 5' 1/2 and I weigh 125-130 lbs. I really need to tone my tummy and my thighs. I'm not worried about how the dress will look on me. I'm worried about being in a bathing suit on the beach in Jamaica. But as of right now I don't have the time or the energy and Lent is almost over and I have not had chocolate since Ash Wednesday. Therefore, this Sunday I am planning on having a chocolate fest! My plan is to start getting my body ready in June.

The one I was on and trying to get back on works really well. You can eat veggies, meats, cheeses and eggs. I craved sweets REAL bad on day 2 and 3 but on day 4 I was fine and had bunches of energy. I also lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks.

I did that along time ago, no soda and watched what I ate, excercised, and I lost 25 lbs in a month. I then moved in w j and gained half of it back. Wouldn't you know it, the very reason I lost weight, is the very reason I gained it back!! SHEESH!!

It's a viscious viscious cirlce I tell ya!!

Since i met Mark i've gained weight. It's been 6 1/2 years. I only went up 4 sizes in that time. I'd like to loose more, its tough with my school schedule. I spent most of my day sitting in front of my computer drawing. I also am a total carb addict. But i've found that if i eat more proteins i don't get the take night munchies as much. I have a bit of a problem when it comes to eating protien. I don't really. Cause i am home alone for almost every dinner each week i just have a bowl of cereal or soup then i'm hungry later. But if i actually put the effort in and make some chicken i'm usually fine.

I go thru spurts. If I eat alot of dairy and veggies, I tend to loose, and drinking water helps w that too. I am a convinient store coffee junkie. I LOVE IT!! That is my Real weakness. SO far, I hae cut back to 1-2 a week, and will keep cutting back, until I don't crave it anymore.

I haven't ate any sort of candy in almost 3 months. The thing is that I do not even crave it anymore. I can walk past the vending machines at work and not even look twice. The first week was hard but it's just mind over matter.

I still cheat every once in a while and drink a soda. I try to stay with just water, but it's hard when you are addicted to Coca Cola! =)

I haven't taken any diet pills because I am on medication and don't want them to interfere, although people have told me they wouldn't. I don't want to take the chance.

I will look into that One a Day Weightsmart though.

Good luck girls!

I think someone said something about their arms... if you go to a gym, they have a machine that is called an ergometer and it's like a stationary bike but for your arms. It works not only your arms but your shoulders too.
